I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The facility was astounding clean and the staff were extremely friendly. There was absolutely no wait and the Dr was very sweet and professional. If you need an urgent care facility, this is without a doubt the best place. Every other facility is dirty and busy but this is truly the dream urgent care.

I live directly across from their building. I have a primary doctor, but his hours are limited so I began going to urgent care for those minor little things that need addressing, but my doctor wasn’t available. Hands down the best office staff I’ve ever seen. Best nurses. Dr. Ollie.llI live directly across from their building. I have a primary doctor, but his hours are limited so I began going to urgent care for those minor little things that need addressing, but my doctor wasn’t available. Hands down the best office staff I’ve ever seen. Best nurses. Dr. Ali is someone who has never once rush me made me feel silly for dumb questions. It always leaves. Is there anything else you need. I completely trust him. He is not a man, nor have I ever asked frankly, to prescribe narcotics, so if that’s what you want this isn’t the place to go. I don’t want those things so I’m happy with them and God bless him for that there’s a female doctor. Unfortunately I don’t know her name. I’ve seen her twice and it was an emergency emergency and I don’t like her and I now call ahead to make sure she’s not there. It was a complete waste of time. Her diagnosis was completely wrong, and in the wrong direction I know that because the next day I went to the real emergency room and the day after that my physician, and I had a very serious problem that she didn’t even talk to me about. Plus she absolutely has the personality of cardboard so now I just call ahead and ask who’s there. Today Dr. Ali wasn’t in but I got to meet the actual owner and he was amazing. I would be remiss not to mention Champaign Pharmacy within the building at first they were convenient because they were there and I had a prescription and I had them fill it. I’m a senior, and I do take several medication‘s. I learned that they deliver them. Ali, the pharmacist and Sarah of the tech are two of the dearest people. I basically would call them my friends that I don’t go out and party with but if I partied I would actually take them with me lol if you need a good pharmacy people understand listen and help you take them and give them a try. As far as the doctors bedside manner, the owner who I met today, and Dr. Ali, we’re amazing. And thank probably to Dr. Ali’s frustration. I always make him hug me. I didn’t do that to the new guy today because he doesn’t know me lol the female let you know back off I’m untouchable nothing I would want to, but back off I’m gonna touchable let’s get this over with. I heard they were going to get a primary physician in there boy I hope she’s not that person. It would just bring the facility down honestly. I’m not trying to be mean I’m just telling the straight up truth. I never pre-book appointments I just walk in and sign in. There’s never a wait and if there is, it’s very short. Let’s be honest they are urgent care. They can’t do all the things that an emergency room can do. That’s why it’s called urgent care. It’s not because they’re not skilled or don’t want to do further things. It’s because they’re not set up at As a facility for that. These are great doctors helping people who need something now and if you don’t like these people I’m talking about there’s totally something wrong with you. No comment about the female doctor. The truth is, I’ve spent About 28 years working in the legal career field when doing that everybody tends to get the attitude over the years and get them before they get me. Frankly it’s inevitable that’s what you do and live with every day so I have no problem complaining as you can see about the female doctor. But I try really hard and people are exemplar order really out of their way to make a point to share that with others in whatever way that would benefit them best. And that’s what this is all about I can totally complain, and make things really difficult for some. But I want to really really double Double down on that and say the complete opposite that these are wonderful folks give them a chance

Michigan Yellow Fever Vaccine

Getting vaccinated against yellow fever lowers your chances of contracting the virus. Knowing more about the yellow fever vaccine and how it works might help you make better medical decisions for yourself and your family.

About yellow fever

Yellow fever is a virus that can be contracted by being bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus. According to the National Library of Medicine, anyone can catch yellow fever, while older persons are at a higher risk of developing a severe infection (NLM). According to the NLM, this disease is widespread in South America and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Yellow fever symptoms

According to the National Library of Medicine, yellow fever has three stages: infection, remission, and intoxication. The symptoms of yellow fever vary depending on where you are in the disease.

Acute infection phase

The acute infection phase, also known as the acute phase, is the first stage of yellow fever. Symptoms in the acute phase, according to the NLM, normally go away in three to four days and include:

  • Headache
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Fever
  • Flushing
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Jaundice

The remission stage of yellow fever is the second stage. According to the National Library of Medicine, some persons recover completely from yellow fever during this phase, while others acquire more severe symptoms and advance to the toxic phase.

Toxic phase

The toxic or intoxication stage of yellow fever is the third stage. According to the National Library of Medicine, symptoms in the toxic phase mainly impact the organs, particularly the heart, liver, and kidney. These signs and symptoms include:

  • Decreased urination
  • Irregular heart rate
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Seizures
  • Delirium
  • Coma

When to see a doctor

The National Library of Medicine recommends visiting a doctor at least 10 to 14 days before traveling to a place where yellow fever is common. Yellow fever is widespread in various parts of Africa and South America, according to the report. This information can be used by your doctor to assess if you should be vaccinated against yellow fever.

When you return home from these nations, you should also see your doctor. If you or a family member has developed fever, headache, muscle aches, vomiting, or jaundice after traveling to a place where yellow fever is frequent, the National Library of Medicine advises calling your doctor right once.

Causes of yellow fever

The virus that causes yellow fever is spread by mosquitoes. If you are not vaccinated against yellow fever and are bitten by one of these mosquitoes, you may contract the disease. The yellow fever virus is primarily found in Africa and South America, according to the National Library of Medicine.

Yellow fever risk factors

A major risk factor for yellow fever is not having had a yellow fever vaccine. According to the National Library of Medicine, avoiding yellow fever-endemic nations in Africa and South America can minimize your risk of contracting the disease.

According to the CDC, you can further reduce your risk by using insect repellent products, wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants, and controlling mosquitoes both indoors and outdoors.

Complications from yellow fever

According to the National Library of Medicine, yellow fever can cause a variety of major health concerns. If you contract yellow fever, you may have internal bleeding and perhaps death.

Other potential complications from yellow fever include:

  • Kidney failure
  • Liver failure
  • Salivary gland infection
  • Secondary bacterial infections
  • Shock
  • Coma

Yellow fever prevention

According to the National Library of Medicine, the yellow fever vaccine may prevent yellow fever. Staying in screened-in or air-conditioned locations, wearing protective clothing, and utilizing good insect repellent products are all excellent preventative techniques.

Yellow fever vaccine

According to the CDC, the yellow fever vaccine can provide lifelong protection against this virus. According to the National Library of Medicine, this vaccine is recommended for use in people aged nine months to 59 years who are traveling to or living in a region where yellow fever is known to exist. Many nations need confirmation of yellow fever vaccination before allowing you to enter.

Mosquito protection

The best strategy to avoid mosquito bites, according to the CDC, is to use an insect repellent that has been registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Repellents that have been registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) contain active components including DEET and oil of lemon eucalyptus, which can keep mosquitoes away and prevent mosquito bites and yellow fever.

To avoid mosquito bites, the CDC suggests wearing long-sleeved shirts and slacks and staying indoors where window screens and air conditioners are available and fully functional.
