I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Dr. Rodriguez and the staff are wonderful. What a trip to the ER was not fixed the night before, he knew what i needed and the staff moved fast to care for me. I will always go that facility if I need care. My co-pay was the payment for the care i received. I'm not sure how much the ER visit will be but I'm sure much, much, much more than that. I want to mention the ER I visit is not afiliated with RiverSide.

Patient First Primary and Urgent Care , Hampton - 2304 W Mercury Blvd, Hampton
Was seen very quickly because the staff recognized my problem right away and started treatment. Test were done, EKG, BLOODWORK< & X-RAY. Dr insisted I go to Sentera ER asap. where a was immediately admitted with Congestive Heart Failure. The most surprising thing was when the staff called me at 9:00 the next morning to check on me. Sorry I did not get the staff's names but Sentera kept the paperwork. I was beginng to think that good patient care had disappeared, but I guess it was just being hidden at your facility. Thank you, RICHARD E. CASSAT (SEEN JUN 23 @ 6:30 pm)

Williamsburg Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but the infection is more common in young people, especially young women. It's recommended that sexually active women under the age of 25, as well as older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, get tested for chlamydia annually. Men who have sex with men should also get tested regularly.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often called the "silent" infection because most people who have it don't show symptoms, but it can cause serious health complications if left untreated. These include pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can lead to infertility, and epididymitis in men, which can cause pain and fever. Testing is the only way to know if you have chlamydia, and early detection and treatment can prevent these complications.

While specific data for Williamsburg is not readily available, Gloucester County, where Williamsburg is located, has seen a steady increase in chlamydia cases over the past few years, according to the CDC. This mirrors the trend seen in nearby counties such as Franklin County and New Castle County, as well as the national trend.

Risk factors related to chlamydia in Williamsburg

Risk factors for chlamydia include being young and sexually active, having multiple sex partners, and not using condoms consistently. Other factors that could be contributing to the rise in chlamydia cases in Williamsburg include a lack of awareness about the infection and its potential complications, and barriers to accessing healthcare and testing services.

Other STDs in Williamsburg

In addition to chlamydia, other STDs such as gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis are also prevalent in Williamsburg. As with chlamydia, these infections are often asymptomatic, which underscores the importance of regular testing, especially for those with risk factors.
