Great discreet service, scheduled my visit and paid for for the test online not in Showed up at lab, checked in and was seen within minutes. Blood and urine were collected, test results came back quickly within 2 days because I did my test on a Friday. Quick, easy and cheap. Didn't have to wait for a visit to my PCP, and then get referral to lab.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Lab Tests FAQs

  • Where should I get a lab test in Cocoa Beach?

Doctors commonly order lab tests and can refer you to one or more reputable lab test centers in your area. Lab tests can be performed in Cocoa Beach urgent care centers, hospitals, and walk-in clinics that specialize in lab testing. Your healthcare practitioner can supply you with a list of lab test providers, or you can use Solv to see what's available in your area.

  • How much do lab tests cost?

The cost of a lab test is determined by several factors, including the type of test, your location, whether you have insurance, and the fees charged by the lab test provider. Many health insurance providers will cover the cost of lab testing in part or in full. Those who do not have insurance, on the other hand, will almost certainly face higher costs. Contact lab test providers directly to confirm the cost of your lab test based on your health insurance benefits. • Does insurance cover lab testing?

The easiest way to find out if your health plan covers lab testing is to contact your insurance carrier directly or ask the lab test provider to check your insurance benefits and verify price. Many health insurance plans will cover lab tests that your doctor determines are medically necessary for your illness. • How long does it take to get lab test results in Cocoa Beach?

Lab test results may be available in minutes, hours, days, or weeks, depending on the type of test performed, lab staff productivity, and your doctor's availability. Some lab test providers let you see your results as soon as they're available online, while others need you to wait for your doctor's answer. Your doctor or the lab provider can give you a more accurate estimate of when your lab test results will arrive.

  • What is a routine lab test?

A basic lab test may evaluate your red and white blood cell counts to discover if you have anemia, a blood infection, or blood cancer. It may also test fat levels in your blood to determine your risk of heart disease and examine the health of your organs, such as your heart, kidneys, and liver. Your healthcare provider will be able to explain what a typical lab test entails.

  • What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

A blood test can identify STDs such as syphilis, HIV, hepatitis C, and herpes. Your doctor may order that blood be collected and submitted to a lab, or that you undergo STD testing at a lab test provider. STD test results might arrive in minutes, days, or weeks, depending on the lab test company you work with.

  • Do I need to see a doctor before getting a lab test?

Before performing specific tests, some lab test providers require a doctor's referral, while others do not. The benefit of seeing a doctor before getting a lab test is that you can assess whether or not you need one based on your symptoms and a physical examination. A doctor can also help you decide which tests are necessary.

  • How can I book a lab test on Solv?

On our home page, please specify the type of lab service you desire, as well as your location and state. Solv will give you with a list of lab test providers in your area, as well as their contact information, so you can make an appointment right immediately.

  • How long does getting a lab test take?

The majority of lab tests are completed in a matter of minutes, but certain providers may have extensive wait times that require you to spend up to an hour in the lab. To limit the amount of time you spend waiting for your lab test, schedule an appointment with Solv ahead of time.

  • Should I try at-home lab testing?

Privacy, convenience, and accuracy are all advantages of at-home lab testing. Some at-home lab testing services, however, may not be covered by your health insurance plan. Some healthcare practitioners may seek additional lab tests to corroborate their diagnosis of specific health concerns. Consult your doctor to see if at-home lab testing is appropriate for you, given your unique health situation.Privacy, convenience, and accuracy are all advantages of at-home lab testing. Great Professionals, from the front desk to the COVID test. A nurse practitioner checked both (heart lungs etc.) VERY short wait time.

GuideWell is a new urgent care facility in the area, but make no mistake they are on a different level than any other urgent care I’ve been to before. They far exceeded my expectations. From the cleanliness of the facility to the check in process, to the large board on the lobby with a list of prices for different services ( which they provide an extensive list of services and testing) to the wait time to receive medical care it was just easy and not frustrating. The entire staff is very professional and friendly. Everyone introduced themselves by their name and the nurses and PCCs that took care of me were simply awesome. Everything was explained in detail and they checked on me regularly. Their bedside manner is such a welcome change from many places these days. Dr. Tulsiak was very patient, caring and compassionate. Thank you to all that helped in my care from the girls at the front desk to the Radiologist to Stephanie, Charla, Wayne, and Josh. If I have a need to receive medical care in the future I will definitely come back to GuideWell vs a busy hospital ER.

Given the rise in Covid and Covid testing the staff remained friendly, approachable, and helpful. I was seen in a reasonable amount of time and everything was seamless.

We are very comfortable in this Cocoa Beach locale. The staff is always smiling, friendly, efficient, communicative, professional and informative. They greet us when we arrive and wish us well when we depart. We’ve been coming here for years. Now we also have our pre-cruise required Antigen Rapid test requirement completed there. We feel safe and confident. Get results swiftly ALL the staff there in The Cocoa Beach location are true assets to MedFast. Great ambassadors and employees who care. THANKS TEAM

Had a 12 and 1 appointment for covid antigen test. Showed up 1/2 hour early to let them know we were outside. Got some additional paperwork to fill out. At *** we were told they were ready for us. Staff took weight, blood pressure, then nurse swabbed for a tigers. Dr came in to do a lung test, and other tests and let us know test results would be printed out and given to us shortly - - turned out to be less than fifteen minutes. Completely satisfied.

Unlike other same-day test results facilities I did not feel rushed, I did not feel like I was being exposed to germs from clipboards and other people. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to do as much as possible concerning registration out in the car. It was nice to come in pay and then go right to a private waiting room. So I didn’t have to sit out in the waiting room and worry about exposure. I greatly appreciate the doctor coming in to talk with me and deliver my test results. Most importantly I’d like to thank her for simply caring enough to really listen to me. I could tell she heard me. I think her advice was very helpful and I will follow up on her recommendation. The friendlier the receptionists are the better because that is the first point of contact. I felt awkward because I didn’t know how the registration and testing process would work. After completing the info on my phone, I called to ask what would happen next. The second receptionist was very friendly and seemed to want to put me at ease which was much appreciated. Let’s face it, I’m not a doctor, I may be a lawyer, but it’s most reassuring to know you’re in the hands of people who know what they’re doing and also do it well. Thank you for making me feel important and like my visit to your facility was important to you.

Our family had a wonderful experience! We needed to be COVID tested for a cruise and they were extremely accommodating, friendly, compassionate, and helpful with our needs. Dr. Nichol, Nurse Beth Corcoran, and Nurse Stephen Schlecht were amazing at their care. We all felt at ease and made to feel incredibly comfortable in a place and city we don’t live in. Thank you to the Cocoa Beach Medfast Urgent Care medical team and office staff for being so welcoming to the Kerr family!!

I have only had to use this facility maybe 4 times since moving here 14yrars ago. Thank goodness I wasn't sick very often and you could call your family doctor to get an appointment. Well those days are gone. I was scheduled to go to yulee late afternoon for my covid vaccine but had had a terrible headache, diarrhea, but no fever. Kept calling the Millennium group to ask if I could still get my vaccine and I didn't hear back until after my time for shot. When they finally called back they said to go to urgent care on 8th street so I called and got an appointment for 5:15 which was marvelous. It was just like I remembered, wonderful doctor, extremely clean. And front office girls were extremely friendly. I missed out on getting my vaccine but I got tested for covid and it was negative thank goodness. I will definitely return to this facility.

You may use my review if it is anonymous. You may use my first name only. I have been to Guide Well emergency care twice. Both times the physician I met with was Dr. Mark. He ordered the necessary test diagnosed my conditions both times accurately. I was so impressed with his care for me on my first trip, that when my physician suggested going to the hospital for tests for my second condition I refused and went to guide well instead. Actually my physician asked me to go to the emergency room and when I said no they said then go to guide well. I was very happy to do so based on the great quality of care on my first visit. The tests were done both times quickly and painlessly. My veins are very difficult to find for IVs, but the technician was able to find it with no problems and no pain and no bruising. I wish that I could go to guide well for regular care and not just emergency care. That’s how much I trust them. The entire staff is very friendly and made me feel that they were extremely knowledgeable and cared about me. I highly recommend Guide Well.

The check in process was not clear. There was only one person entering peoples information as they checked in- they really needed more staff to do this. Also you had patients that were actually sick bs cruise patrons who just needed a negative test. It was be great to break those two groups up. Just a long day of waiting.

What a great experience! I had scheduled a covid test for my daughter at Walgreens and when we arrived they said their site was down and couldn’t do any testing until the following day. I was panicking trying to find somewhere that could test her for covid since she was sent home from school with symptoms. It was after 5pm and after searching and calling different places I called medfast in Titusville… there was an actual person who pleasantly answered the phone… not an automated *press 1 for…* voice. She welcomed us to come in for my daughters testing. The sign in was quick and easy… we waited in the car and completed the text registration which was super easy and convenient! Our wait time was less than 20 minutes and we went straight into a room. The nurse (Nieves) was so kind and comforting to my daughter. She administered the test so carefully that my daughter barely flinched. We were finished with everything in less than an hour total! I appreciate the staff being so kind and efficient. Thank you for being available and taking such great care of my child!

I’m hoping Brevard residents will have priority over Cruise required Covid testing patients in the near future. The wait was almost 4 hours and the facility was under staffed. That said, this facility is one of the best in the area!

Cocoa Beach Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
