Foundation Health Urgent Care - 5583 Bobby Hicks Hwy
Throat was not normal so I called my doctor but he was all booked this whole week.  I have used this urgent care before and was very satisfied. This was a little longer wait than my previous visits.  The staff is wonderful and efficient.  I recommend them to everyone.

Boones Creek Urgent Care - 4100 N Roan St, Johnson City
We often use this facility for urgent care. It's typically not as busy as many of the others, and is convenient to where we live. The staff is cordial, and the waiting area is clean and comfortable. Medical staff is attentive, and take the time to address all your concerns, and answer questions. This time I had to wait in a patient room longer than usual (probably at least 30-40 minutes), so that accounts for my 3***'s. But, like I said, that's not typical! Overall, I would definitely recommend you check this place out when you need urgent care.

Bristol Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for chlamydia, especially those who have multiple sexual partners or do not regularly use condoms. The CDC recommends annual chlamydia testing for all sexually active women under the age of 25, as well as older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners. Men who have sex with men should also get tested for chlamydia annually, and more frequently if they have multiple or anonymous partners.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is crucial because it often presents no symptoms, yet can lead to serious health complications if left untreated. According to the CDC, untreated chlamydia can cause pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can lead to permanent damage to the reproductive system and even infertility. In men, chlamydia can cause a painful infection in the tubes attached to the testicles, which can also lead to infertility. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of these complications.

Risk factors related to chlamydia in Bristol

Risk factors for chlamydia in Bristol include being sexually active, having multiple sexual partners, not using condoms consistently or correctly, and being under the age of 25. It's important to note that while these factors increase the risk of contracting chlamydia, anyone who is sexually active can get the infection.
