I give 5 stars because everyone I've encountered has been nice and friendly. Very helpful the Dr.s listen to what your telling them. And your in and out in no time. That's the best thing. I've been there and I've taken my children there a few times. So that's why I've gave 5 stars. No complaints from me yet.

I have been here dozens of times. The staff is always friendly and professional. If you are going in for Urgent Care, the wait times may be longer than you're used to, but this is the fastest Urgent Care clinic I have ever been to and it is always faster than the local ER. They are also one of the only places in town that sees patients after 5.

Blood Test FAQs

  • Where can I get a blood test in Sparta?

In general, blood tests are available at Sparta-area medical labs, urgent care centers, retail clinics, primary care doctor offices, and many local pharmacies. While walk-in appointments are typically available, booking a visit online will reduce your wait time and ensure you have your blood work results sooner.

  • How can I book a blood test in Sparta?

Regardless of the kind of blood test you are seeking, Solv can help you book an appointment. Simply search for Sparta-area labs and healthcare providers, filter by the test you want and find a top-rated blood testing location. Be sure to include “blood testing” as the reason for visit.

  • Where can I get blood work after hours in Sparta?

Outside routine work hours, most Sparta labs and primary care offices are closed, however, most of the area’s urgent care and retail clinics are open later than typical business hours and on weekends. Book an after-hours visit to get prompt, no-hassle care and get your blood test results faster.

  • Can I make a same-day appointment for blood work in Sparta?

Same-day and next-day appointments for many blood tests can easily be booked directly through Solv. Simply search for Sparta-area providers, find a lab or draw station, and book the most convenient time for you. Be sure to include “blood work” as your reason for visit.

  • How do I find the best labs for blood testing in Sparta?

Solv gathers ratings, reviews, and other data on Sparta-area labs and healthcare providers to ensure the providers meet our high standards. Search for blood work providers, see what previous patients think, and book an appointment with a top-rated lab or clinic today!

  • Who should get a blood test?

Blood tests provide a valuable look at your overall health and blood work should be done at least once a year. They offer a great way to catch illness or disease early on, or see how you are progressing with on-going treatment. Your doctor or healthcare provider typically orders blood tests for you during an annual physical or as necessary for a specific diagnosis. It’s possible to order your own blood tests without a doctor, particularly for things like STD tests or hemoglobin A1c tests.

  • Are video visits available for blood work in Sparta?

While a blood test cannot be performed over video, your doctor can both initially prescribe blood tests using telemedicine, and review results with you virtually.

  • How much does a blood test cost in Sparta?

Without insurance, blood work typically costs between $50 to $1,000, or sometimes more depending on the specific tests and the provider type you are having the tests performed at. At-home tests are available in most areas and could cost substantially less. Book a consultation with a lab testing provider in Sparta today to get more details on the specific blood work you are looking for.

  • How long do blood tests take?

Blood tests can be performed either in-office or performed on samples that are sent to an outside lab. The collection itself should only take a few minutes, and the results could be ready within a few hours or up to one to two weeks depending on the test you are getting done. Once you’ve received your results, your doctor can discuss them with you either in-person, on the phone, or through a video visit.

  • Is blood work covered by my insurance?

Most common blood tests are covered under insurance plans, particularly when your doctor orders them as part of an annual physical or supporting a diagnosis. If you are self prescribing the test, however, it may not be covered by insurance. If you have questions about your specific insurance coverage, it is best to contact your carrier or your provider.

I was disappointed this time. Places always have a hard time trying to find a vein, but they do always manage to find one. However, this time they did not try very hard. They found one that didn’t have enough blood in it, but then rather than working harder to find another one they sent me on my way to drink a lot of water and come back next week. I just got the feeling that they were in a hurry to close and didn’t want to take the time to find another good vein. I had drank water the day before even, bit they always have a hard time despite that. As I said, I have had my blood drawn many times in different places, and they always manage to find a vein even if it takes a while. This was frustrating because now I have to take more time off work to come back. I just felt like they didn’t spend enough time to since they wanted to go home.

I was here for lab work only today. Receptionist was very friendly, as always (Sarah). Phlebotomist was also very friendly and professional. Blood draw was quick. Office clean, as always. I would recommend this practice very highly to anyone looking for a doctor!

This was a very pleasant visit. I had forgotten my blood pressure medication back home in Oklahoma so I made an appt online. Online appointment was very easy to navigate and answering information about myself and insurance made check in fast and easy. I recommend them to everyone. 5⭐

Brenda and her helper were so good with my elderly mother. I always ask for Brenda or Xavier because they are the only people able to draw blood from mother’s tiny veins! The woman at reception desk was helpful and friendly.

Everyone was very friendly and the person that drew my blood was amazing! He did an excellent job and I am a very difficult stick but he had no problems at all.

Kelsey was awesome. I have veins that collapse and I appreciated her listening to me explain that and being patient. It is no fun for people to randomly stab me hoping for blood so I really commend her for being great at her job and really listening to me as a patient. Wonderful experience.

I haven’t had blood work in many years due to white coat syndrome and the staff was amazing! Took their time to make me feel comfortable and really cared.

- Verified patient on 4/8

Staff was friendly and I was taken back to lab right away. Nurse was also very gentle when taking blood! Did not feel it at all! So glad I chose to come to this lab! I did not book appointment. I walked in since a few weeks ago my doctor already had on record that I was to get lab work.

I was not impressed at first with the Drs attitude and questions as to why I was requesting the antibody test. After the the tech came to take my blood and had some difficulty, the sr came back in and for whatever reason, his attitude towards me seemed to change. In the end, my visit there was fine, but in the beginning I was made to feel like what I was asking for was foolish. I was told “feelings” don’t matter, it’s about science. Which, yes, there is truth to, but that type of bedside manner is not appropriate in times like these when mental illness is, or should be a huge concern in our society.

I was at Samaritan hospital for a blood draw. I waited about two minutes. Both nurses we very friendly and personable. I never felt the needle etc. it was over before I knew it. Great place to go!

I hate having my blood drawn I never know if my veins will cooperate and fear if multiple sticks. Today was awesome. One stick and 4 tubes later it done!

- Verified patient on 6/23

I always get nervous getting my blood drawn. Mainly because my veins are hard to find. But the staff here know what they are doing and get it on the first try!

Blood pressure was to high to pass DOT physical. I am going to see PCP to get b/p under control. I retired 8-8-20 I did not really need a DOT physical anyway. Can I get refund on payment. Thanks Jerry Deering ***

The phlebotomy technician was absolutely amazing!! She was quick, super friendly, knew what she was doing, kept asking if I was okay, and whenever she could tell I was getting a little antsy or anything she would distract me by making small talk and asking me questions, and best of all she asked which arm I preferred, and actually listened to what I had to say when I told her which area/veins usually work best for getting blood drawn from! I’ve never had a problem whenever needing to get blood work done by her! 10 out of 10 stars.

Only reason I waited a couple minutes was cuz it was lunchtime. Then in and out in no time with barely a pinch on the blood draw. Love that we have the lab and doctors office so conveniently located close to my home.

I had my blood drawn. There were 5 people ahead of me but the staff worked through them quickly and my wait was not long at all... everything fine.

Terrific nurse practitioner (or doc?) who took a blood sample and prescribed medication. So thorough and explanatory. I love the clean, modern appearance of this office, particularly the heart-warming poster on the wall of the examining room.

I use a cane due to back problems, the ladies took my order for blood work. And she was kind enough to check me in and direct me to the Third room. Extremely kind and efficient. Thank you

The RN I saw told me she “hit a blood vessel” so there was some unexpected bleeding involved. She told me my arm will most likely be sore and may bruise but “hopefully not”. This was the first time in 30 years that I’ve heard someone say they hit something after I got vaccinated.

I despise giving blood, but the team did a great job to make an otherwise miserable experience for me somewhat pleasant. Thanks Emma and to whom was working the front desk!

About Blood Tests

Blood tests are used as valuable snapshots of your current overall health and can be an effective way of catching illness or disease early, or measuring how you are reacting to new or on-going treatment. There are a variety of types of blood work with most common tests being complete blood counts (CBC), complete and basic metabolic panels (CMP, BMP), thyroid panels, nutrient tests, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) tests.

Each of these blood tests are fairly common and can be performed in a variety of settings including testing labs, primary care offices, urgent care centers, and even retail clinics and some pharmacies. Solv even has clinic partners in the Sparta-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait. The tests themselves take only a few minutes and usually are performed by a nurse or technician where they:

  1. Clean the area where they will draw blood from, usually your upper arm
  2. Tie a band to your upper arm to make your veins more visible
  3. Put a needle gently into a vein to draw blood into the attached tube
  4. Remove the needle, then the band from the vein when complete
  5. Cover the draw site with a bandage

Risks associated with blood work are very low, but could possibly include slight pain or discomfort at the draw site, dizziness or even fainting from blood loss, or vein puncture. It’s important to discuss any concerns you may have with your medical provider before the procedure begins.
