Only had to wait a couple of minutes. A chest x-ray was necessary, so had to go to another building for that. Had to wait longer for the x-ray. A prescription was called in and that was picked up in a couple of hours. Everyone there rated a 5 star.

I walked into Coxsackie EmUrgent Care in horrible pain from a very bad UTI. I had been in pain for days trying to wait until I received my SS check to make the copay my insurance charges but had started showing blood in my urine and the pain had become intense. Glenmont EmUrgent Care had refused to see me because I didn't have my copay. Coxsackie took care of me and I am now on medication. I will return this morning to pay my copay from last night. I want to thank them as the pain had become unbearable.

Pittsfield Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that sexually active women under the age of 25, as well as older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, should get tested for chlamydia annually. Men who have sex with men should also be tested at least annually. Furthermore, anyone who is sexually active and has symptoms of chlamydia, or whose partner has been diagnosed with chlamydia, should get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) that often shows no symptoms, making regular testing crucial for detection. If left untreated, chlamydia can lead to serious health problems, including pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can cause infertility. Moreover, chlamydia increases the risk of contracting other STIs, such as HIV. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, reducing these risks.
