Only had to wait a couple of minutes. A chest x-ray was necessary, so had to go to another building for that. Had to wait longer for the x-ray. A prescription was called in and that was picked up in a couple of hours. Everyone there rated a 5 star.

Getting Tested for STDs in North Adams, MA

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), especially those with multiple sexual partners or those who engage in unprotected sex. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), specific groups such as sexually active women under 25, men who have sex with men, and individuals with HIV should get regular STD testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial in maintaining both your own health and the health of your partners. Many STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning they show no symptoms, but can still be transmitted to others. Early detection through testing allows for prompt treatment, reducing the risk of severe health complications. According to the CDC, untreated STDs can lead to infertility, certain types of cancer, and other long-term health problems.
