Quest Diagnostics - 5555 Gull Rd
I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

WellNow Urgent Care, Battle Creek - 25 E Columbia Ave, Port Huron
Great experience, in a minor emergency! Son cut his leg and needed stitches. I was very apprehensive seeking care with the Covid situation happening. They required a mask but no Covid test! Whew! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The wait time was reasonable. Came in wet bathing suits, right off the river, and the nurse gave us blankets. How sweet! I follow more natural practices for medical treatment and the doctor was very accommodating to my wishes there as well. We choose to be self pay and the cost was very reasonable. We got great medical care and it was a great experience for an unfortunate event. Thank you!!

The doctor and nurse were great. However, their receptionist left a lot to be desired. Very abrupt and totally lacking people skills. She is dealing with people that are obviously very sick. A little kindness and compassion would certainly make the experience at least a little more pleasant.

Battle Creek Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sexually active individuals, particularly those with multiple partners, should be tested for chlamydia annually. This is especially crucial for women under 25 years old, as they are at a higher risk of infection. Men who have sex with men should also consider regular testing. It's important to remember that chlamydia often shows no symptoms, so regular testing is the only sure way to know if you're infected.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is essential for several reasons. First, it helps prevent the spread of the disease to others. Second, early detection and treatment can prevent serious health complications, such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can lead to infertility. According to the CDC, chlamydia can also increase the risk of contracting other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV.
