Everything was good except for one thing... She did the quick results in front of me and I was very surprised and unprepared for one of the results to be a non-negative. It turned out to be because of a prescription that I'm on. It was very unsettling. They should ask about prescriptions and/or provide a list of medications that will affect the results. We have enough anxiety in society already.

Overview of STD Testing in Molalla

Who should get tested for STDs?

According to the CDC, sexually active individuals, especially those with multiple partners, should get tested for STDs. This includes both men and women, as well as anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+. It's also recommended that pregnant women get tested, as STDs can have serious health implications for both the mother and baby.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs are asymptomatic, meaning they do not present any symptoms. Without testing, these diseases can go undetected and untreated, leading to serious health complications. Secondly, knowing your STD status can help prevent the spread of these diseases to your partner(s). Lastly, early detection and treatment can often prevent or reduce long-term consequences of STDs.
