I was in my room within minutes of my appt time.  However, I then sat there for 40 mins before the doctor came in.  He was probably in the room for less than 5 mins.

I got in somewhat quickly. Possibly because I booked an appointment and filled out my forms beforehand. It’s been over 24 hours since I have been there and unfortunately I feel worse. They could not figure out what was wrong with me.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus or is at risk of exposure should get tested. This includes individuals who have engaged in unprotected sex, shared needles for drug use, or have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis. Additionally, those with a family history of hepatitis, or who have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with the disease, should also consider testing. It's important to note that hepatitis can be asymptomatic, meaning you may not show any signs of infection even if you are infected. Therefore, regular testing is crucial for those at risk.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is vital for several reasons. Firstly, early detection can lead to more effective treatment and prevent severe liver damage. Secondly, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, hepatitis is a leading cause of liver cancer, cirrhosis, and other serious health complications. Therefore, getting tested is a critical step towards safeguarding your health and the health of those around you.
