Well, to be honest I was a bit disappointed. I went online to search for a "podiatrist" for a same day, or next day appointment. Using my zip code, I searched for locations in which to see a podiatrist the same day...... Your location, which is just within three or four blocks from my home, came up. Bottom line is, I anticipated, and expected to see a board certified podiatrist... A doctor who "specializes in foot care!"

I have been to this facility a few times when I have had to take my child in times when her Pediatrician was away. They have taken care of her and even given me a referral so that I may take her to a specialist to further evaluate her. It's not very far from my home at all. I'm glad they are also available after my child gets out of school, since her pediatrican's last appt. is at 3:30, I have time to go to Metro-UrgiCare and feel reassured.

Overview of STD Testing in Harrison

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), regardless of whether or not they are experiencing symptoms. This is particularly true for individuals who have multiple sexual partners, those who do not consistently use protection during sexual activity, and individuals who are under the age of 25, as they are at a higher risk of contracting an STD. According to the CDC, regular STD testing is a critical component of maintaining your overall health.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is essential for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs can be asymptomatic, meaning you may not experience any symptoms despite being infected. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, which can prevent long-term health complications. Additionally, knowing your STD status can help prevent the spread of these diseases to your sexual partners.
