I came in one day without an appoint and waited two hours as a walk-in before I had to leave without being tested. I made an appointment through Quest Lab Testing for the next day, showed up on time, got tested easily and was on my way in 15-20 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I had to bring my GSD in after he really hurt his paw and was limping badly. I wasn’t able to get through to his actual vet. Urgent Pet Care not only got him in right away/ they got him in early. The staff is amazing, from the woman at the front desk, to the vet assistant to the veterinarian herself. My boy is feeling so much better and I saw glimpses of his old self after treatment. It’s hard to trust others with your baby, but everyone here took such great care of him and I couldn’t be happier.

Bellevue Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Anyone who is sexually active can contract chlamydia, but it is more prevalent among young people, particularly those aged 25 and under. It's recommended that sexually active women under 25, and older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, or a sex partner who has a sexually transmitted infection, get tested annually. Men who have sex with men should also get tested annually. If you have had unprotected sex or believe you may have been exposed, it's crucial to get tested as chlamydia can be asymptomatic, meaning you may not experience any symptoms.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is vital because, according to the CDC, it's the most frequently reported bacterial sexually transmitted infection in the United States. While it's often symptomless, if left untreated, it can cause serious health issues such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can lead to infertility. In men, chlamydia can cause a condition called nongonococcal urethritis. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing these complications.

Chlamydia testing options in Bellevue, NE:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care centers such as AFC Urgent Care in Omaha and Midwest Urgent Care of Omaha offer chlamydia testing. These facilities often offer same-day or next-day appointments, which can be easily booked through Solv's website or mobile app.

Your primary care provider can also test for chlamydia. If you don't have a primary care provider, Solv can help you find one in your area.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers in and around Bellevue may offer free or low-cost chlamydia testing. It's recommended to call ahead to confirm the availability of this service.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for chlamydia are also available. These can be ordered online, and the test can be done in the privacy of your own home. The sample is then sent to a lab for analysis, and results are usually available within a few days.

Prevalence of chlamydia in Bellevue

Bellevue, located in Pottawattamie County, has seen a consistent number of chlamydia cases over the years. Although the city's rates are lower than the national average, it's still important to get tested regularly if you're sexually active, as chlamydia can often go undetected.

Risk factors related to chlamydia in Bellevue

Risk factors for chlamydia in Bellevue are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include being sexually active and under 25, having multiple sex partners, and not using condoms consistently. Other factors that could contribute to the spread of chlamydia include lack of awareness about the disease and limited access to healthcare services.

Other STDs in Bellevue

In addition to chlamydia, other common STDs in Bellevue include gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis. It's important to get tested for these diseases as well, as they can also be asymptomatic and lead to serious health complications if left untreated. Testing for these diseases is available at many of the same locations that offer chlamydia testing.
