Wether I am doing business representing a client or for personal reasons, I have always had a pleasant experience at Tower Medical in Bridge City, TX.

Pediatric urgent care
I work for a HHA and Kristina B was able to assist with getting paperwork that was urgent signed within one day for a special needs kiddo. She was so polite and friendly. She stayed on the phone with me to make sure the paperwork was received. Once received she printed it out to give to doctor. She also called me once the paperwork was signed and that she was sending over. She followed up with a phone call to make sure I had received everything for the child. Kristina B went above and beyond.

I was at Next Level Urgent care in Beaumont on Phelan Street. The young lady that checked me in was very helpful. Internet was slow so she did it for me on a tablet. I had Juan as a tech and Tina Marie as a provider and they were amazing. Very thorough and considerate. I could not have asked for better treatment. I left feeling like these people really care about others. Overall a great experience.

Urgent care
I had never been to Promptu and was impressed with my visit. The waiting room and exam rooms were very clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was pleased with the tests they took and were able to tell me what was making me sick. I will return the next time I need an Urgent Care facility. I was very lucky that there were only a few patients in the waiting room.

Went here after a slip and fall accident because they had an on site X-Ray machine and was an in-network provider for my insurance company. There wasn't a whole lot they could do for me because of the nature of my injury, but the staff was so friendly and helpful. Almost zero wait time...much better than a trip to a regular ER. Highly recommended!

Urgent care in Beaumont, TX

Beaumont anchors its own Southeast Texas metro — separate from Houston — built around the Spindletop legacy and the ExxonMobil and Motiva refineries on the Neches River. Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas and CHRISTUS Southeast Texas anchor local care. Compare local clinics or use the wider urgent care in Houston network.

What services do urgent care clinics in Beaumont offer?

Urgent care clinics in Beaumont, TX treat occupational injuries from refining and petrochemical employers, respiratory illness, lacerations, sports and DOT physicals, and routine pediatric and adult care. Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas and CHRISTUS Southeast Texas operate the dominant hospital networks in the metro, with NextCare and several independent walk-in clinics along Dowlen Road and I-10.2

Most Beaumont-area urgent care clinics are open seven days a week, with extended weekday and weekend hours, on-site digital X-ray, basic in-house labs (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, urinalysis), and standard suturing capability. Cash-pay rates and copays should be confirmed at booking; many clinics post transparent self-pay pricing online. Booking through Solv lets you compare clinic distance, real-time wait, and reviews before you commit, which often saves time during peak respiratory season (October–February) and back-to-school physical season (July–August).

Does urgent care in Beaumont accept Texas STAR Medicaid?

Yes. Beaumont urgent care clinics accept Texas STAR Medicaid managed-care plans, administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Verify your MCO with the clinic before booking. KFF data shows Jefferson County, where Beaumont sits, has higher-than-average Medicaid enrollment compared with statewide rates.3

In addition to STAR, Texas runs CHIP (children's coverage), STAR+PLUS (Medicaid + Medicare for adults with disabilities), STAR Kids (Medicaid for children with disabilities), and STAR Health (foster care). Coverage rules differ across programs — patients should bring their MCO ID card, a state-issued photo ID, and any referral paperwork to a Beaumont urgent care visit. If you're unsure whether a clinic accepts your specific Medicaid plan, call the clinic before booking or use Solv's in-network filter to narrow the list.

How does Beaumont urgent care relate to Houston?

Beaumont sits about 85 miles east of downtown Houston along I-10, anchoring its own Southeast Texas metro of roughly 400,000 people across Jefferson, Orange, and Hardin counties. With an estimated 109,400 residents per U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,4 the city centers on petrochemicals, the Port of Beaumont, Lamar University, and regional healthcare. Houston is the nearest large hospital and urgent care market for specialty care; see urgent care in Houston when local capacity is full.

For most non-life-threatening problems, an urgent care visit is faster and considerably less expensive than the ER. KFF research consistently shows the average emergency department visit costs several times what a comparable urgent care visit costs, even before insurance.3 Patients in Beaumont who can't get into a local urgent care clinic often have shorter waits at clinics in adjacent suburbs, and most major hospital networks — including Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas — share medical records across affiliated locations, so visiting a sister clinic generally doesn't fragment your care.

Common reasons Beaumont residents book urgent care include sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, sprains and minor fractures, lacerations, low-grade fevers, mild allergic reactions, rashes, eye irritation, and routine school or sports physicals. For chest pain, stroke symptoms (sudden weakness, slurred speech, vision loss), severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion or loss of consciousness, major bleeding, severe burns, or any breathing difficulty, the ER — including Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas — is the right choice. Telehealth is another option for clear-cut viral illnesses or prescription refills, and many Beaumont-area urgent care brands offer same-day virtual visits in addition to in-person care.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Beaumont?

Yes — Beaumont, TX has urgent care options serving routine illness and injury, school and sports physicals, lab tests, and on-site X-ray for common needs. Solv lists local clinics with same-day availability, transparent pricing, and online booking so you can hold a time before walking in.
  • Does urgent care in Beaumont accept Texas STAR Medicaid?

Yes. Most urgent care clinics in Beaumont, TX accept Texas STAR Medicaid managed-care plans, though enrollment varies by clinic and managed-care organization (MCO). Texas STAR is administered by Texas HHS. Call ahead with your STAR plan ID to confirm the clinic is in-network for your specific MCO before your visit.

  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Beaumont?

Beaumont urgent care clinics — particularly hospital-affiliated occupational health clinics — routinely treat workplace injuries from ExxonMobil, Motiva, and other refining, petrochemical, and shipyard employers, including minor burns, eye irritation, lacerations, and musculoskeletal strains. For severe burns or chemical exposure, go to the ER rather than urgent care.
