Went in the office and they took me right away. I got into the examining room and Kristen came in right away. She is so nice and takes the time to listen to my concerns and gave me the prescriptions I needed to feel better. I have seen her two different times and she has been so caring and understanding both times that I saw her. I will definitely be going back if I need too. 😊

My son woke up with a swollen and red throat and was also running a low grade fever. I was worried about strep so made an appointment online for the time that was most convenient for me. It was so easy! The ladies at the front desk were so nice and welcoming. The nurse and doctor were very patient with my 3 year old that was not all about getting his throat swabbed. But we got it done and were in and out so quick! My family and I will never go anywhere else!

Been battling apparently Bronchitis for a while.  Came in, booked an appointment, waited an appropriate time for urgent care.  I was given Prednisone which greatly helped within a couple hours.  Took the providers advice to add vitamin C,D and zinc and drink 100 ounces of water, stopped working out which was aggravating my condition and feel great today.  Little disappointed with my provider back home in MN that I went in a couple times and it got to this point but grateful that I was able to get it taken care of down here.

Queen Creek Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can affect both men and women, particularly those in their teens and early twenties. According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but the risk is higher for those with multiple sexual partners, those who do not use condoms consistently, and those who have had an STI in the past. Therefore, if you fall into any of these categories, it is recommended that you get tested for chlamydia.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is crucial because the infection often has no symptoms, making it easy to unknowingly pass it on to others. If left untreated, chlamydia can lead to serious health problems such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which can cause permanent damage to the reproductive system and lead to infertility. In men, untreated chlamydia can cause a painful condition in the tubes attached to the testicles, potentially affecting fertility. Regular testing allows for early detection and treatment, preventing these complications.

At-home testing kits for chlamydia are another option. These kits can be ordered online, used in the privacy of your own home, and then sent to a lab for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days.

Prevalence of chlamydia in Queen Creek

Queen Creek, located in Pinal County, AZ, has seen a steady increase in the number of chlamydia cases over the years, mirroring the national trend. According to the CDC, the rate of chlamydia in Pinal County is slightly higher than the national average. This could be due to a variety of factors, including increased testing and changes in sexual behavior.

Risk factors related to chlamydia in Queen Creek

Risk factors for chlamydia in Queen Creek are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include being sexually active, having multiple sexual partners, inconsistent condom use, and a history of STIs. Other factors, such as lack of access to healthcare and education about STIs, could also contribute to the prevalence of chlamydia in the area.

Other STDs in Queen Creek

In addition to chlamydia, other common STDs in Queen Creek include gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis. Like chlamydia, these infections often have no symptoms in the early stages, making regular testing crucial for detection and treatment. As with chlamydia, testing for these STDs is available at local urgent care centers, primary care providers, community health centers, and through at-home testing kits.
