This was my first visit there and I scheduled an appointment online and completed all the paperwork online. I arrived 10 minutes early and signed some documents and waited for an hour before I was called. The staff was nice and apologized for my wait and the doctor I saw was very nice but I doubt I’ll go back there

Tested positive for Covid on Sunday, made appt for Wednesday because I was feeling so sick. I wanted to make sure nothing else was going on. Doctor was rude from the get go and basically told me to suck it up and it wasn't necessary to miss work. Very condescending, she had a young man shadowing her and he was very nice- he did seem uncomfortable with her bedside manner.

I would like to send a huge thank you to Jen! This wonderful lady spent over an hour and a half trying to relieve my ear pain due to a terrible wax issue!!!! She was so professional and determined! Her bed side manner was awesome! Thanks again for everything you did to help me! The rest of the staff was also very friendly! Thanks again! Tanya Diglaw

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus, either through sexual contact, sharing of needles, or from an infected mother to her baby during childbirth, should get tested. Additionally, those who have traveled to or lived in countries with high rates of hepatitis, or have been in close contact with someone who has the disease, should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Early detection allows for prompt treatment and can prevent the spread of the disease to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not experience symptoms until the disease has progressed, making regular testing important for those at risk.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Massillon

While specific data for Massillon is not readily available, Stark County, where Massillon is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the years, mirroring the national trend. This increase may be due to a number of factors, including increased testing and awareness, as well as the ongoing opioid crisis which has been linked to a rise in hepatitis cases due to shared needle use.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Massillon

Risk factors for hepatitis in Massillon include unprotected sex, drug use, and close contact with someone who has the disease. The opioid crisis in particular has been a major contributor to the rise in hepatitis cases in the area.

Other STDs in Massillon

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Massillon. Like hepatitis, these diseases can lead to serious health complications if left untreated, making regular testing crucial for those at risk.
