I called ahead to this location and was told there were about nine people already waiting to be seen, and that that was consistent for the day up to my call. I also tried calling other locations without any success - the phone number was bad or nobody answered the call. So I went and was pleasantly surprised to see only one person in the lobby. I was assisted much sooner than expected. The longest delay was waiting for the doctor to arrive in my room, but even that was not too long. I left the building feeling very good about the services at this location.

Sparkling Clean

After a treadmill accident on 2/15/20 I took my wife to Urgent Care for a head injury. RN Michelle was awesome as was NP Kelly. Had to use a few staples. We were in and out in an hour.

I brought my daughter in for stitches. There was no wait and they treated her quickly. I’ve been to ERs for similar issues and have easily spent hours waiting for one or two stitches, so I was so surprised to be in an out in less than hour. The doctor here was so friendly and so reassuring to my daughter. The nurses made sure that my daughter was comfortable and helped assuage her fears. I would give the experience ten stars if I could.

Getting Tested for STDs in Elizabeth City, NC

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider regular STD testing as part of their healthcare routine. According to the CDC, certain groups are at higher risk, including young people aged 15-24, men who have sex with men, and pregnant women.

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for both individual and public health. Early detection can prevent serious health complications such as infertility, certain types of cancer, and increased risk of HIV. It also helps to prevent the spread of these diseases to others. According to the CDC, many STDs are asymptomatic, meaning they show no symptoms, so regular testing is the only way to know for sure if you are infected.
