Institution states they will not take an insurance payment for any type of "physical exam" even if your insurance will pay for it they force you to pay out of pocket. Let you schedule the appointment just to inform you once you've arrived for your appointment and not before hand. This procedure needs to be evaluated and changed. I would recommend so far for any other service.

Very pleased with the overall experience here. Receptionist was very pleasant as well as the support staff we encountered. Saw Dr. Mary Wolter who was very personable and easy to talk to. She performed a thorough exam and answered any questions or concerns we had. Never felt rushed. Office and patient rooms were immaculate.

When an office opens at 9am and you are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your visit and the office staff has you waiting outside in the cold I wonder why did I arrive on time?   The staff was watching  myself and another patient standing in the cold outside until that  9 AM time arrived !  Maybe they should consider the sick patients outside in the cold !!!

Does urgent care in Elmont accept Medicaid?

New York Medicaid is widely accepted in Elmont's urgent care landscape.1 Nassau University Medical Center—a public hospital—accepts New York Medicaid and is the primary safety-net resource for Nassau County's Medicaid population. Residents should confirm their specific managed care plan—MetroPlus, Fidelis, and WellCare are common—at the clinic before visiting.
