Top 10 urgent care centers near Fort Lauderdale, FLCOVID testing in Fort Lauderdale | Telemedicine in Florida
The staff is friendly...the place is very clean and orderly...I only had to wait a few minutes. they took great interest in my symptoms and explained everything completely. I would recommend this urgent care center to everyone.
Excellent service. Great staff. My wife and I needed to get COVID tests and found this place online. The staff was amazing. When I called to find out testing information I got a human on the line (not the usual machine) which impressed me from the start. When we got there we checked in and then they asked us to wait in our car. The woman in charge of sign in at the front desk was pleasant and efficient and personally came out to our car to get us shortly after we had checked in. The health care worker who did my test was just as lovely (I didn’t get her name but she had great eye lashes) —she took my blood pressure, took a brief medical history, and a quick swab. I was then seen by the doctor—I was floored they had a doctor on the premises and that he takes the time to examine each patient. Turns out the doctor was the one who answered the phone when I first called —Dr. Roche. He was thorough and personable. If I had gotten the name of the other staff members I would personally thank them as well. If you need a COVID test this is the place to go. We were in and out in under 30 minutes. They accept insurance which was the cherry on top of a great experience which is an odd thing to say when getting a COVID test but accurate. Thank you to Broward Health and its Health Care Workers!
Urgent Care FAQs
What is urgent care?
Urgent care are available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.
