Urgent care
Scheduling was easy, I did it the night before. When I arrived, I was 2nd in line according to their link, and there didn’t seem to be many people there. Still, it took over an hour to be taken back and nearly 2 hours when all was said and done. This is my Urgent Care clinic of choice, but I’ve never seen this doctor before and it’s never taken this long in the past. Still, I would continue to use this clinic. Staff were friendly and my prescription was sent to my pharmacy promptly.

Had pain in my left foot after a fall. Broke it. Very nice nurse, doctor and xray tech.. bathroom needed attention. No paper towels or hand sanitizer. Needed hand sanitizer and kleenex in waiting room. This will be my go-to non-ER facility. Lots better than Texas Med clinic.

Urgent care in Garden Ridge, TX

Urgent care in Garden Ridge, TX serves a small Comal County community on the northeast edge of greater San Antonio. Walk-in clinics in adjacent Schertz and Cibolo are the practical option for most acute care, with urgent care in San Antonio 25 minutes south for specialty needs.

What services do urgent care clinics in garden ridge offer?

Garden Ridge residents rely on urgent care along the I-35 northeast corridor, where Methodist Healthcare and Baptist Health System both operate walk-in clinics serving Schertz, Cibolo, and Selma.2 Services include flu and strep treatment, lacerations, sprains, x-ray, lab, sports physicals for SCUC ISD athletes, and DOT physicals. Pediatric care is widely available, and bilingual Spanish-English staffing is common. Several clinics offer extended evening and weekend hours, which is the primary draw for Garden Ridge families given the limited commercial services inside the city itself.

Does urgent care in garden ridge accept STAR (texas medicaid)?

Yes. STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas HHS, is accepted at most northeast San Antonio urgent care clinics.1 Comal County has lower-than-state-average Medicaid enrollment but coverage remains broadly available, according to KFF.3 Primary MCOs in the region include Superior HealthPlan, Amerigroup, and Community First Health Plans. Confirm your plan with each clinic and bring your Medicaid ID.
