I would definitely recommend this urgent care! The assistant & the nurse practitioner were extremely nice and professional and both were very attentive to my issue & care. The receptionist could have been a little nicer, didn’t have much concern or care for me or the other patients coming in.  However, I wouldn’t let that stop me from going back if I had a problem. The rest of the staff more than makes up for the front desk area.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

Kenner Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but it's especially common among young people aged 15-24 years. It's recommended that sexually active women under 25, older women with risk factors like new or multiple sex partners, and men who have sex with men should get tested annually. In Kenner, LA, it's also important for individuals who have had unprotected sex with a partner whose STD status is unknown to get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often referred to as a 'silent' infection because most people who have it don't show symptoms, but it can cause serious health complications if left untreated. Early detection through testing is crucial to prevent complications like pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men, both of which can lead to infertility. In Kenner, getting tested is not just about individual health, but also about community health, as it helps to control the spread of the infection.
