Sparkling Clean

QUICKmed Urgent Care, Youngstown Urgent Care - 2915 Glenwood Ave
I came in scared because I coughed up blood in the morning. The staff made me feel much more comfortable and we’re so friendly. Tracey the nurse practitioner comforted me and assured me that it’s okay to be scared but that I would feel much better soon. Thank you so much to the entire staff for helping me.

The online system was easy to navigate & got me an appointment quickly. The check in process went smoothly until the last step and then would not let me complete. Fine for Me, but more work for the staff. 20+ yrs of neck pain/trouble and this was the 1st time I ever went anywhere for help managing the pain. The PA acted like I was asking for heroin. I explained I’d been to the chiropractor the day before and was at urgent care under his advice because he couldn’t RX anything. I told her I’d been alternating heat/cold and Motrin 800mg/Tylenol 1000mg…to no avail. I asked her to run an OARRS report and she’s see I’ve never been anywhere in my life for pain meds. She stated they don’t really have access to that system. I advised I had the utmost respect for her and her license, but felt that was frustrating. If she didn’t help me I’d have been forced to the ER for the same reason, and it’s not my job to provide her the resources to do hers. She would have merely needed to look to get the whole story and then could Have provided compassionate appropriate care without me needing to feel judged or guilty. In the end she RX’d a muscle relaxer, a steroid (also a shot in the office) and Tylenol with codiene. This treatment was very effective and got me through the worst of pain, so I could continue my treatments with the chiropractor. It was a fairly bad experience for me, but in the end I got what I’d been looking for.

This was my first visit there and I scheduled an appointment online and completed all the paperwork online. I arrived 10 minutes early and signed some documents and waited for an hour before I was called. The staff was nice and apologized for my wait and the doctor I saw was very nice but I doubt I’ll go back there

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus or is at risk should get tested. This includes individuals who have had unprotected sex, shared needles, or have a history of drug use. It's also important for those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, or have been in close contact with someone who has the disease to get tested. According to the CDC, people born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as baby boomers, are also at a higher risk and should get tested for hepatitis C.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it allows for early detection and treatment, reducing the risk of severe liver damage and complications such as cirrhosis or liver cancer. It also helps prevent the spread of the virus to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not know they have it until they experience symptoms or complications, making testing all the more important.
