Easy in and easy out. I just wish there was more seats to sit on. People tend to bring a plus one and I wasnโ€™t able to sit so I stood outside in the rain until I saw a seat open.

Showed up at the Ruston urgent care location for a walk in, learned about the crazy wait time but also the app, so I installed Solv and found that the Tacoma urgent care location has appointments available to schedule that day, where Ruston only had tomorrow. So I scheduled one just 30 minutes away, rushed to the office and the app knew I was there so I checked in, talked to the receptionist, she already had my insurance and stuff from the app scanning my card๐Ÿ‘ so she photoed my ID and told me I'd have a 45 minute wait. I was excited for this. I left and used the wait list on the app to track my position in line, and showed up, was seen pretty much right away, dental assistant was kind, put in all the info, doctor came in right away, got the antibiotics I needed immediately. Pharmacy had my prescription ready soon as I got there, within 10 minutes probably. The whole experience was pretty amazing and even though it was sudden and I was in pain, had to learn about the app and whatnot, it was so easy. Very impressed.

The staff at this location could not have been more helpful or friendly. ย From the check-in, to the Medical Assistant Naya (sp?), to the Nurse Practitioner Katherine I saw. ย Once I was in my room, they were efficient, knowledgeable. ย I left knowing exactly what my plan of care was. ย Highly recommend.

Mary Bridge Children's Urgent Care is my favorite urgent care to go to. Convenient online scheduling, easy check-in process, fast wait times, concerns are addressed appropriately, friendly staff, and you're out in about an hour from start to finish. The only area that could be improved is if you have questions after your appointment, it's hard to get a hold of anyone, and then you don't get a call back. I highly recommend Mary Bridge Children's Urgent Care

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), anyone who has been exposed to the hepatitis virus or has engaged in high-risk behaviors should get tested. This includes individuals who have shared needles, had unprotected sex, traveled to countries where hepatitis is prevalent, or have a family history of liver disease. Additionally, the CDC recommends testing for all adults aged 18 and older, as well as pregnant women.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for both your health and the health of those around you. Hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to serious health complications including liver disease and cancer. Early detection allows for effective treatment and can prevent the spread of the virus to others. Regular testing is particularly important for those in high-risk groups, as they are more likely to contract the virus.

Hepatitis testing options in Kent, WA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics in Kent, such as Indigo in nearby Federal Way, offer hepatitis testing. These facilities often have shorter wait times than traditional healthcare providers and offer extended hours for added convenience. You can book same-day or next-day appointments at these locations through Solv.

Primary care providers

Your primary care provider can also administer a hepatitis test. If you don't have a primary care provider, Solv can help you find one in your area.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers and free STD testing clinics in Kent and surrounding areas, like Carbon Health in Puyallup, also offer hepatitis testing. These centers provide an essential service for those who may not have insurance or the means to pay for testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits can be ordered online and completed in the privacy of your own home. They offer a convenient and confidential option for those who prefer not to visit a healthcare provider.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Kent

According to the CDC, the prevalence of hepatitis in Kent is consistent with national trends. However, it's important to note that rates can vary within the city and between different population groups. Regular testing and awareness are key to controlling the spread of hepatitis in the community.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Kent

Risk factors for hepatitis in Kent are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles, and travel to high-risk countries. Certain population groups, such as those with a family history of liver disease, are also at increased risk.

Other STDs in Kent

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Kent. Regular testing for all STDs is recommended for those who are sexually active, particularly if they engage in high-risk behaviors. Testing locations such as Tran Urgent Care & Wellness Centers in Tacoma offer comprehensive STD testing services.
