The effectiveness of the lungs is determined by a pulmonary function test. The test evaluates lung volume, capacity, gas exchange, and rate of flow, as well as other lung-related characteristics. Your doctor may be able to identify and treat some lung diseases based on the results.

How are pulmonary function tests performed?

Pulmonary function tests can be performed in two ways, depending on the information your doctor needs. In some cases, your doctor may request both tests since they measure different things. To evaluate your breathing, your doctor may use a spirometer (a device with a mouthpiece) or have you stand inside an air-tight box that resembles a telephone booth.

What does a pulmonary function test measure?

A pulmonary function test evaluates several elements of lung health. I was very put off by the fact you have to leave a credit card on file! I am very uncomfortable with doing that in this day and age! Receptionist honestly had no warmth… behind the desk personality and seemed robotic! NO other urgent care DEMANDS this… Back office was Amazing… X-ray tech awesome.. Alison PA(?) or dr. Was fantastic! Care great! On a side note I had trouble with the billing dept. when this was under another name! Not sure if the same person heads this up now but she was nasty! I will probably go to City Med as they have a much better system up front!

It’s so wonderful how Dr Ibrahim is so knowledgeable & caring. This is rare these days. In the recent past I’ve had doctors who are more concerned with the computer than the patient. I must say Dr Ibrahim is an asset to your corporation. I’ve worked in ICU & ran 2 huge practices in my experience. Dr. Ibrahim would definitely be a must hire in my opinion.
