We went in for Covid tests. Had to call ahead and make appt. They got us in soon after our appt time. The staff were all friendlt, and Mosley, the young man who took our nose swabs, was very gentle and professional. We did have issue with their lab calling with results, but called back to the main number and spoke with Brittany, who was busy but took the extra time to look on the lab computer and give us our results. Very pleased with the services overall.

Getting Tested for STDs in Springfield, OH

Who should get tested for STDs?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for STDs, especially those with multiple partners or those who engage in unprotected sex. It's also important for individuals who have been sexually assaulted or who use intravenous drugs to get tested. Pregnant women should also be tested to prevent passing any infections to their baby. According to the CDC, sexually active gay and bisexual men may benefit from more frequent testing.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for STDs is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, many STDs do not show any symptoms, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly spreading the disease. Secondly, early detection can lead to more effective treatment and can prevent long-term health complications like infertility, certain types of cancer, and organ damage. Lastly, knowing your status can help protect your sexual partners and prevent the spread of these diseases.
