Urgent care
I have been miserable. I don’t like going to the doctor because I think “I’ll get better”. Went to acute care. OMG. In and out within 30 mins. The provider gave me multiple RXs to deal with my issues. Horrible cough, congestion, headache, itchy eyes…definitely miserable. Four days later…feeling better.

I recently visited Bellaire ER and they were excellent all around. Miss Ana in the front desk was very nice and helpful. And Dr. Quintanilla was very professional and gave me the upmost care! I would definitely recommend and use Bellaire ER again!

Urgent care
Scheduling was easy, I did it the night before. When I arrived, I was 2nd in line according to their link, and there didn’t seem to be many people there. Still, it took over an hour to be taken back and nearly 2 hours when all was said and done. This is my Urgent Care clinic of choice, but I’ve never seen this doctor before and it’s never taken this long in the past. Still, I would continue to use this clinic. Staff were friendly and my prescription was sent to my pharmacy promptly.

These folks got it all down!! Will never make the mistake and go to a different urgent care closer to me. Scheduled less than 1 hour before arriving at end of day like possibly the last patients and they took excellent care of my daughter. So quickly and testing completed rapidly . The provider was very kind and understanding. She met our needs and meds were given there . Pharmacy got the order we picked up before 9pm. The staff was all amazing !! Thank you for your service ❤️. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Urgent care
I have been a patient at Franklin Clinic (not as Urgent Care) for several years. I have been pleased with everything about the facility. Yes, the front desk help is sometimes overwhelmed and seem unfriendly but, that's to be expected.

Urgent care in Comfort, TX

Comfort is a small Kendall County town along I-10 in the Hill Country between Boerne and Kerrville. Local urgent care is limited; residents typically drive to Boerne or Kerrville. Compare same-day options across urgent care in San Antonio.

What services do urgent care clinics in Comfort offer?

Urgent care clinics serving Comfort, TX cover respiratory illness, minor injuries, sports physicals, lacerations, and routine pediatric concerns. Peterson Health in Kerrville and Methodist Boerne Emergency Center operate the closest hospital-affiliated networks, with freestanding clinics along I-10 and US-87.2

Most Comfort urgent care clinics offer same-day online booking, on-site X-ray for sprains and possible fractures, and basic in-house labs (rapid strep, flu, COVID, urine, glucose). Walk-in volume is typically highest on weekday evenings and weekends; booking online and arriving with insurance card and photo ID in hand is the fastest path through the door. Many clinics also offer telehealth for follow-up visits and medication refills.

Does urgent care in Comfort accept Texas STAR Medicaid?

Yes. Urgent care clinics serving the Comfort area generally accept Texas STAR Medicaid, the state managed-care Medicaid program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Coverage and in-network status vary by managed-care organization. KFF reports roughly 16% of Texas residents are covered by Medicaid statewide.3

For uninsured patients in Comfort, most urgent care clinics publish self-pay rates online — typical visits run between $125 and $250 depending on labs, X-ray, and procedures performed. Patients without STAR Medicaid coverage but who may qualify can apply through YourTexasBenefits.com or Texas Health and Human Services. Federally Qualified Health Centers in the broader region also offer sliding-scale primary care for non-emergency needs.

How does Comfort urgent care relate to San Antonio?

With a population of an estimated 2,400 residents per U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,4 the city has a small-town heritage character and routes most healthcare volume to Boerne (15 miles east) or Kerrville (15 miles west). For specialty or after-hours volume, residents commonly extend to north San Antonio — see urgent care in San Antonio.
