My only comment is the difficulty in checking in on the phone. There should be a paper alternative.

Juan, the medical assistant was good and receptive. The PA who saw me was also good but I just didn't agree with her recommendations. She was gracious to accept my opinion and she maintained her professionalism despite my disagreement. She did tell me that she was putting me on dexamethasone but forgot to explain the dosage; and also antibiotic but I already know what to do with the antibiotic. I thought the prednisone was a little high--40 mg everyday for seven days. It may be a good dose but for me, it gives me quiver and crave for food that's the reason why I was hesitant to take it. She did offer me to be nebulizer but I said I'll do it at home.

Great first experience. The only issue I have is that no one there answers the phone. We got a prescription sent to a pharmacy (our standard one) and the pharmacy didn’t have it in stock. Because carbon health does not answer the phone, where I could have had them submit the scrip to a new pharmacy, I needed to be the middle person on a wild goose chase between the pharmacy that didn’t have the medication and one that did. This is a very stressful position to be in as a parent with a very sick kid who desperately needs medicine. Other than that one component, I was happy with the experience. I reflected my disappointment under “staff friendliness”, as I wasn’t sure where else to put it. Staff wasn’t unfriendly, they just didn’t answer the phone.

Wait time was unexpectedly long!  I was there for one hour and 15 mins for an EKG the order was sent the day before so that was not the problem. Was called 15 mins after my scheduled appt and there was only one other person in the waiting room when I was called. Also when I arrived there was one person ahead of me.  Provider was very good and staff friendly. The assistant who who performed the EKG was great knowledge about the procedure. After the procedure I had a wait again another 15 mins.

Urgent care
My husband & I tested positive for COVID this AM. We both were able to very conveniently make online appointments for medical evaluations within 30 minutes of our requests. The UC Village-Albany Urgent Care clinic is modern and attractive with highly efficient, very welcoming, friendly, professional & personable administrative and medical staffs. All of the medical personnel have very kind and empathetic bedside manners and listened very well to (and heard!) and were responsive to our medical concerns and questions. We both were in and out of our appointments within 30 minutes. We are very appreciative and truly grateful to have your clinic so conveniently located near our home. Please keep up the great work!

Urgent care in Petaluma, CA

Petaluma is a Sonoma County city of about 60,000 in the southern wine country, roughly 40 miles north of San Francisco along Highway 101. Petaluma Valley Hospital — operated by Providence — anchors the local medical infrastructure, with multiple urgent care and walk-in clinics serving the city and surrounding rural areas. For broader options, see urgent care in San Francisco.

For most patients, the question "where do I go?" comes down to acuity, time of day, and what's covered by their plan. Solv aggregates real-time availability across area clinics so you can compare wait time, hours, accepted insurance, and patient ratings before booking. Most appointments can be reserved in under two minutes, and many clinics confirm within seconds. If you're booking on behalf of a child or older adult, look for clinics that specifically list pediatric or geriatric experience in their profile.

What services do urgent care clinics in petaluma offer?

Petaluma urgent care providers handle minor injuries, lacerations, sprains and fractures, ear and respiratory infections, UTIs, asthma flares, and routine same-day care. Providence Petaluma Valley Hospital, Sutter Health, and MarinHealth all maintain clinic networks in or near the city, with on-site X-ray and lab capabilities at most locations.2 Occupational health, sports and DOT physicals, and travel medicine are commonly available. Petaluma's significant agricultural and small-business workforce drives steady occupational health volume.

Frequent visit reasons across Bay Area urgent care clinics include strep and flu testing, COVID-19 testing, sinus and ear infections, pink eye, urinary tract infections, minor burns and lacerations, fractures and dislocations needing X-ray, and acute back, neck, or joint pain. Many clinics also offer pre-employment screens, TB testing, immunizations, and travel medicine. Online booking via Solv typically reduces wait times to under 15 minutes for the first available appointment, helpful for working professionals trying to fit care into a busy schedule.

Does urgent care in petaluma accept Medi-Cal?

Yes. Medi-Cal — California's Medicaid program, run by DHCS — is widely accepted in Petaluma.1 Sonoma County's Medi-Cal managed care is administered through Partnership HealthPlan of California, which contracts with Providence, Sutter, MarinHealth, and most independent urgent care providers in the region.3 Bring your BIC card and Partnership ID at check-in. Sliding-scale and FQHC options are also available through Petaluma Health Center for uninsured patients.

Most clinics will run insurance verification at the time of booking when you reserve through Solv, so you'll know coverage and copay expectations before you arrive. If you're uninsured, ask at booking about self-pay rates — many clinics publish flat-fee pricing for common visit reasons (strep test, UTI evaluation, simple laceration repair) that's competitive with paying out-of-pocket through a high-deductible plan.

How does petaluma urgent care relate to san francisco?

Petaluma is roughly 40 miles north of San Francisco — about an hour's drive depending on Highway 101 traffic. The U.S. Census Bureau lists Petaluma's population at approximately 59,776.4 Unlike many SF Bay suburbs, Petaluma has a self-contained medical ecosystem with its own hospital, ER, and urgent care, so residents rarely commute to SF for routine care. For specialty referrals or trauma, residents may route to Santa Rosa, Marin General, or UCSF. See urgent care in San Francisco for the broader regional network.

For most non-emergency same-day needs, staying close to home is faster and more convenient than driving into the metro core. Booking online through Solv lets you compare wait times, hours, and insurance acceptance across nearby clinics in a single view, and most clinics confirm appointments within minutes.
