Wait time was unexpectedly long!  I was there for one hour and 15 mins for an EKG the order was sent the day before so that was not the problem. Was called 15 mins after my scheduled appt and there was only one other person in the waiting room when I was called. Also when I arrived there was one person ahead of me.  Provider was very good and staff friendly. The assistant who who performed the EKG was great knowledge about the procedure. After the procedure I had a wait again another 15 mins.

My husband & I tested positive for COVID this AM. We both were able to very conveniently make online appointments for medical evaluations within 30 minutes of our requests. The UC Village-Albany Urgent Care clinic is modern and attractive with highly efficient, very welcoming, friendly, professional & personable administrative and medical staffs. All of the medical personnel have very kind and empathetic bedside manners and listened very well to (and heard!) and were responsive to our medical concerns and questions. We both were in and out of our appointments within 30 minutes. We are very appreciative and truly grateful to have your clinic so conveniently located near our home. Please keep up the great work!

Melanie went out of her way to accommodate my husband and me when we came in to get Covid tests. Due to our unforeseen scheduling error, we didn't have an appointment at that time, but she said we could wait in case she could fit us in between patients, even though they were fully booked. She was able to complete our tests quickly and courteously. We were extremely pleased with the care we received. Thanks, Melanie!

Great first experience. The only issue I have is that no one there answers the phone. We got a prescription sent to a pharmacy (our standard one) and the pharmacy didn’t have it in stock. Because carbon health does not answer the phone, where I could have had them submit the scrip to a new pharmacy, I needed to be the middle person on a wild goose chase between the pharmacy that didn’t have the medication and one that did. This is a very stressful position to be in as a parent with a very sick kid who desperately needs medicine. Other than that one component, I was happy with the experience. I reflected my disappointment under “staff friendliness”, as I wasn’t sure where else to put it. Staff wasn’t unfriendly, they just didn’t answer the phone.

Urgent care
The online scheduling was easy with the time slot availability shown. The hour is great, open later than others in the area, avoided going to ER. I arrived & check-in was smooth & no wait. Aria looked over my wound & stitch up the cut, & the support staff was friendly & professional. I barely felt it during the process, & she periodically reminded me if too painful, she can numb more. Great facility!

Urgent care
Juan, the medical assistant was good and receptive. The PA who saw me was also good but I just didn't agree with her recommendations. She was gracious to accept my opinion and she maintained her professionalism despite my disagreement. She did tell me that she was putting me on dexamethasone but forgot to explain the dosage; and also antibiotic but I already know what to do with the antibiotic. I thought the prednisone was a little high--40 mg everyday for seven days. It may be a good dose but for me, it gives me quiver and crave for food that's the reason why I was hesitant to take it. She did offer me to be nebulizer but I said I'll do it at home.

Beth was fantastic, she was thorough, answered all my questions and had great tips too! I would definitely come here again for my son’s health. However, I was speechless with how the medical assistant roughly administered medicine to my infant son. The medical assistant grabbed my son’s face, squeezed it, and squirted antibiotics into him mouth and with the last pump, they squirted it all in even though it was getting to the point of overflowing out of his mouth. Once I held him upright, he immediately spit it back out. I’m not a medical professional, so I can’t say whether this is standard of care, but I was concerned by their handling of him.

Urgent care in Tiburon, CA

Tiburon is a small peninsula town in southern Marin County, jutting into San Francisco Bay across from Sausalito. Most urgent care visits route through clinics in the central Marin 101 corridor, where MarinHealth, Kaiser, and Sutter operate. For broader options, see urgent care in San Francisco.

What services do urgent care clinics in Tiburon offer?

MarinHealth Medical Center anchors emergency care in Marin County, with Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health operating clinics in the central Marin corridor.2 Local urgent care commonly handles respiratory illness, sprains, sailing- and biking-related injuries, lacerations, and pediatric same-day care. Most clinics offer x-ray on site.

Most clinics also offer DOT and sports physicals, allergy treatment, STI testing, and travel medicine. What urgent care typically does not handle: active heart attack or stroke symptoms, severe trauma, complicated childbirth, or psychiatric emergencies — those need an ER. Most Tiburon-area clinics post wait times online and accept walk-ins, though booking ahead through Solv typically gets you in faster and lets you complete paperwork before you arrive.

Typical visit length is 30 to 90 minutes from check-in to discharge, depending on whether x-ray, lab work, or a procedure (laceration repair, splinting) is needed. Most clinics in the Tiburon area are open 7 days a week, with extended evening and weekend hours. Some operate as 24/7 urgent care or freestanding ERs — those are clearly labeled in the booking tool above so you can pick based on hours and acuity.

Does urgent care in Tiburon accept Medi-Cal?

Yes — most Marin-area urgent care clinics accept Medi-Cal, California's Medicaid program managed by the Department of Health Care Services.1 In Marin County, Medi-Cal managed care runs through Partnership HealthPlan of California. KFF state data shows lower Medi-Cal enrollment in Marin than statewide averages, but clinic coverage is broad.3 Confirm Partnership HealthPlan in-network status before booking.

Medi-Cal covers urgent care visits, basic labs, x-ray, prescription medications ordered during the visit, and follow-up referrals. Patients typically have no copay at the point of care for managed-care visits. If your Medi-Cal plan has not been activated or if the clinic is out-of-network with your specific managed care plan, you may be asked to pay self-pay rates and seek reimbursement. The clinic’s front desk can verify eligibility in real time before you’re seen.

For commercial insurance, most local clinics participate with the major PPO and HMO carriers and process insurance at the point of care. Bring your current insurance card and a photo ID. If you’re uninsured, ask about self-pay rates up front — many clinics publish flat self-pay pricing that’s far lower than an ER visit. HSA and FSA cards are accepted at most clinics for the patient-responsibility portion of the visit.

How does Tiburon urgent care relate to San Francisco?

Tiburon has roughly 9,000 residents per the U.S. Census Bureau,4 spread across the peninsula and adjacent Belvedere. The town sits 14 miles north of San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge. There is no urgent care directly within Tiburon; most residents use clinics in Mill Valley, Larkspur, or Greenbrae.

For most non-emergency same-day issues, staying local in Tiburon is faster and cheaper than driving to a San Francisco ER. Reserve the ER for true emergencies. If a clinic in Tiburon can’t see you, the booking tool above will surface the next-soonest availability across nearby cities — often within a 10–15 minute drive.
