Once the Doctor decided I had Gout that was pretty much it.  I had presented with pain in my right hand when I flexed my index and ring finger.  There is a "grabbing" sensation when I flex my fingers and the pain radiates up the outside of my forearm.  He never moved my fingers or felt for the "grabbing", but because my hand was swollen and sensitive he decided I had Gout.  Neve once inquired about diet or life style, just decided I had Gout. I found him to be dismissive and not terrribly concerned with my situation. Needless to say my situation is not resolved, I am still in pain, and will be actively looking for another Health Care provider.

I booked an appt the day before and was seen right away. I like that you can register and do all the paperwork online before the appt. Also, you can check in on your phone and it shows you a wait list. I went to the one in Linden and the staff was nice and friendly.

I love how I can make an appointment online but the wait time isn’t the best. I’ve been to AFC a handful of times and the wait is 15-20 minutes in the waiting room and sometimes a long wait to see the doctor.

I was give a prescription with no detail that it was a self injection and no needle was order with the prescription.  So I stay in pain for more days until approval and not give a solution. No call to come back to help me or give me the injection in their office.  The PA was not patient and very short with me and I was upset and confused.  I also was told to pay on the spot. I felt if I didn’t do it I was not going to be given my prescription for care.

About Alcohol Testing

Alcohol Testing is a diagnostic test used to detect the presence of alcohol or its metabolites in a person's system. This testing is commonly performed for various reasons, including monitoring alcohol consumption, ensuring safety in certain workplaces, and assessing compliance with alcohol-related legal requirements.

Who Should Get Tested

If you reside in Maplewood, New Jersey, and are required to undergo alcohol testing for employment, legal reasons, or personal reasons, Alcohol Testing is recommended. Employers, law enforcement agencies, and treatment programs may use alcohol testing to monitor alcohol use and enforce sobriety.

Types of Alcohol Testing

Alcohol Testing can be performed using different biological samples:

  • Breath Alcohol Testing: Measures the concentration of alcohol in a person's breath using a breathalyzer device. This test is commonly used for roadside alcohol testing and workplace alcohol screening.
  • Blood Alcohol Testing: Analyzes the alcohol concentration in a blood sample. Blood testing provides a more accurate and precise measurement of alcohol levels and is used in certain legal and medical situations.
  • Urine Alcohol Testing: Detects the presence of alcohol or its metabolites in a person's urine. This test can identify recent alcohol consumption but may not indicate current intoxication.
  • Saliva Alcohol Testing: Determines alcohol levels in saliva samples. This test is less common but can be used for on-site alcohol screening.

Interpreting the Results

Interpreting Alcohol Testing results depends on the type of test performed and the established cutoff levels for alcohol or its metabolites. A positive result may indicate recent alcohol consumption, while a negative result suggests sobriety at the time of testing.

Following the Test

If Alcohol Testing indicates the presence of alcohol above the established cutoff levels, consequences may vary based on the context of the testing. For employment or legal purposes, positive results may lead to disciplinary actions, legal penalties, or the requirement to participate in alcohol education or treatment programs.

Alcohol Testing is an essential tool for promoting safety, enforcing sobriety, and ensuring compliance with alcohol-related regulations in various settings.
