Lani City Medical Urgent Care, Chino - 4036 Grand Ave
This is my favorite urgent care to go to. The doctor's are all very compassionate and have great bedside manner. The doctor's don't rush your visit and they make sure all your questions are answered. I get my urgent care fee waived if I go to my place of employment, but I personally prefer to come here and pay my co-pay because I know I will not be in the waiting room for 2 hours and get a provider who works like a robot and rushes the visit. The front staff and MA's are all very professional and very welcoming.

Carbon Health Urgent Care, Irvine - 14443a Culver Dr
Scheduled my appointment online the night before. Super easy online process. Had my appointment set at 1:30pm, and I arrived at 1:20pm. Didn't get checked in until 2:30pm... Front office staff service was underpar today. Usually there's 2 people, but I noticed only 1 new worker struggling by herself. Other than that, excellent clinic. Everything is clean as always, staff is friendly as always.

So amazing these caring souls that work here! I came in last minute with my daughter and in the kerfuffle of illness and getting her there on time we forgot her ID. The appointment I had originally was at 6:30 and they close at 7. We didn’t get back there with the ID until 6:50. The angel at the front desk called me to see if I was still coming! They helped us thoroughly, thoughtfully and with incredible kindness. Thank you immensely.

Brea Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

Anyone who is sexually active should consider getting tested for chlamydia, especially those with multiple sexual partners or those who do not regularly use condoms. The CDC recommends annual chlamydia testing for all sexually active women under 25 years old, as well as older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners. Men who have sex with men should also get tested annually.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for chlamydia is crucial because it often has no symptoms, meaning it can go undetected and untreated, leading to serious health complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease in women and epididymitis in men. These conditions can result in infertility. Moreover, untreated chlamydia can increase the risk of contracting or transmitting HIV.

Chlamydia testing options in Brea, CA:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

Urgent care and walk-in clinics such as Brea Urgent Care offer chlamydia testing. You can book same-day or next-day appointments through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers also offer chlamydia testing. If you have a regular doctor, they can provide you with a test and discuss your results in the context of your overall health.

Free STD testing and community health centers

There are also community health centers that offer free or low-cost STD testing. These centers are a good option for those without insurance or those who cannot afford the cost of testing.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits are another option. These kits can be ordered online, used at home, and then sent to a lab for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days.

Prevalence of chlamydia in Brea

Brea, located in Los Angeles County, has a significant prevalence of chlamydia. According to the CDC, Los Angeles County has one of the highest rates of chlamydia in the country. The rate in Brea is reflective of this larger trend.

Risk factors related to chlamydia in Brea

Risk factors for chlamydia in Brea are similar to those in other parts of the country. They include being sexually active, having multiple sexual partners, not using condoms consistently, and being under the age of 25.

Other STDs in Brea

In addition to chlamydia, other common STDs in Brea include gonorrhea, HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis. Like chlamydia, these STDs can often be asymptomatic, making regular testing crucial for sexually active individuals. The rates of these STDs in Brea are also reflective of the larger trends in Los Angeles County and the surrounding counties.
