The A1C test is also known as the HbA1C test, hemoglobin A1C test, or glycated hemoglobin test. This test allows you to eat and drink before the test, but the FPG test requires you to fast for at least eight hours prior to the test and only drink sips of water until it is completed.

I had a low grade fever and fatigue over the weekend and walked in on Monday. Waited maybe 5 minutes. Staff was attentive, ran some tests, did a chest x-ray and concluded I had some viral infection. Wrote me an Rx for conjunctivitis, but just told me to rest and drink plenty of fluids, take Ibuprofen every 4 hours, which I have been doing. As of Wednesday morning I still have the chills and fever, so I wish they would have given me a Z pack. I will see how today goes but may need to come back.
