The medical assistant was terrific - friendly, professional and listened. The PA was not that way. Did not even bother to listen to my chest. Because of that did not hear wheezing. Did not read my chart. Cookie cutter treatment. I will find a different urgent care.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

Anyone who is at risk for hepatitis should consider getting tested. This includes individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has hepatitis, those who have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis, and people who have used injected drugs. It's also recommended for individuals who have had unprotected sex with multiple partners, or with someone who has hepatitis. According to the CDC, people born between 1945 and 1965, often referred to as baby boomers, are five times more likely to have hepatitis C and should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because many people with the disease do not experience symptoms until significant liver damage has occurred. Early detection can lead to treatments that may limit liver damage and prevent the spread of the disease to others. According to the CDC, chronic hepatitis C can be cured in more than 90% of people who are diagnosed and treated.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Torrington
