AFC Urgent Care, Farragut - 700 N Campbell Station Rd
The whole experience was excellent.  I’m not very good with computers but the checkin staff was helpful clearly explaining. Nurses were efficient and competent from initial BP check to the shot I had to get at the end of the appt. The PA, Steven, whom I’ve had before, is very competent. He listens and acts accordingly.   I highly recommend AFC on North Campbell Station Rd.

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should get tested for hepatitis. This includes healthcare workers, people who share needles or other drug paraphernalia, and those who have had unprotected sex with an infected person. Additionally, people born between 1945 and 1965, also known as baby boomers, are five times more likely to have hepatitis C, so they should also get tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Early detection allows for prompt treatment which can prevent these complications. Moreover, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the virus to others.
