My husband and I are both patients of Kristopher Inman, PA at the Culpeper Medical Center.. He is one of the most talented medical professionals we have had the privilege of being treated by. His staff, especially his nurse Casey, is also very efficient but also friendly and caring. His recommendations of specialists have all been tremendous doctors. The only complaint we have is that Kristopher is not a member of the UVA health system. We both would highly recommend the Culpeper Medical Clinic!

This place is awesome. I can’t believe some of the reviews are so low. We have been going there for 10+ years for Urgent care. The staff is always friendly, and accommodating. The medical physician, physicians assistant are always excellent, listening to your concerns and working with you for treatment. This is not my primary care facility, but for quick needs, it’s the best!

Lab Tests FAQs

  • Where should I get a lab test in Culpeper?

Doctors commonly order lab tests and can refer you to one or more reputable lab test centers in your area. Lab tests can be performed in Culpeper urgent care centers, hospitals, and walk-in clinics that specialize in lab testing. Your healthcare practitioner can supply you with a list of lab test providers, or you can use Solv to see what's available in your area.

  • How much do lab tests cost?

The cost of a lab test is determined by several factors, including the type of test, your location, whether you have insurance, and the fees charged by the lab test provider. Many health insurance providers will cover the cost of lab testing in part or in full. Those who do not have insurance, on the other hand, will almost certainly face higher costs. Contact lab test providers directly to confirm the cost of your lab test based on your health insurance benefits. • Does insurance cover lab testing?

The easiest way to find out if your health plan covers lab testing is to contact your insurance carrier directly or ask the lab test provider to check your insurance benefits and verify price. Many health insurance plans will cover lab tests that your doctor determines are medically necessary for your illness. • How long does it take to get lab test results in Culpeper?

Lab test results may be available in minutes, hours, days, or weeks, depending on the type of test performed, lab staff productivity, and your doctor's availability. Some lab test providers let you see your results as soon as they're available online, while others need you to wait for your doctor's answer. Your doctor or the lab provider can give you a more accurate estimate of when your lab test results will arrive.

  • What is a routine lab test?

A basic lab test may evaluate your red and white blood cell counts to discover if you have anemia, a blood infection, or blood cancer. It may also test fat levels in your blood to determine your risk of heart disease and examine the health of your organs, such as your heart, kidneys, and liver. Your healthcare provider will be able to explain what a typical lab test entails.

  • What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

A blood test can identify STDs such as syphilis, HIV, hepatitis C, and herpes. Your doctor may order that blood be collected and submitted to a lab, or that you undergo STD testing at a lab test provider. STD test results might arrive in minutes, days, or weeks, depending on the lab test company you work with.

  • Do I need to see a doctor before getting a lab test?

Before performing specific tests, some lab test providers require a doctor's referral, while others do not. The benefit of seeing a doctor before getting a lab test is that you can assess whether or not you need one based on your symptoms and a physical examination. A doctor can also help you decide which tests are necessary.

  • How can I book a lab test on Solv?

On our home page, please specify the type of lab service you desire, as well as your location and state. Solv will give you with a list of lab test providers in your area, as well as their contact information, so you can make an appointment right immediately.

  • How long does getting a lab test take?

The majority of lab tests are completed in a matter of minutes, but certain providers may have extensive wait times that require you to spend up to an hour in the lab. To limit the amount of time you spend waiting for your lab test, schedule an appointment with Solv ahead of time.

  • Should I try at-home lab testing?

Privacy, convenience, and accuracy are all advantages of at-home lab testing. Some at-home lab testing services, however, may not be covered by your health insurance plan. Some healthcare practitioners may seek additional lab tests to corroborate their diagnosis of specific health concerns. Consult your doctor to see if at-home lab testing is appropriate for you, given your unique health situation.Privacy, convenience, and accuracy are all advantages of at-home lab testing. I came in because I was coughing continuously. They swiftly ran tests to find out that I had pneumonia. They were all so nice and caring and when my sugar level was down one of the nurses even gave me a bottle of juice that she had in the refrigerator for her lunch. That kind of quality care was shown by everyone that was taking care of me. It was a wonderful visit, even though I was sick. Their compassion made me smile all the way home.

I request this facility whenever I get sick. Never had an real issues with staff or anything of the sort. My only complaint is when I was swabbed for my Covid test the nurse, though very nice, was kind of heavy handed. I ended up tasting blood in the back of the throat and my nose was sensitive for hours after that. It even bled a little and that’s never happened and I’ve had previous Covid tests completed at this facility.

Walked up at 630pm to get a COVID test but sign said they were no longer taking walk ins. I started walking back to my vehicle when a staff member came rushing out asking if I wanted a test. Even ushered my 2 kids in to get tested as well. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the process took less than 45 minutes. Thank so much to the entire staff!!

I didn’t go inside because I was being tested for Covid but the wait wasn’t very long and the person I talked to on the phone setting up everything was very friendly kind and informative and the nurse that came out and tested me was as well and before she walked away she ask me if I had any questions or concerns and honestly you don’t get that very often these days at a medical facility nor doctors office. I appreciate her care and concern.

Wait time only gets four stars because of the large number of Covid related testing and flu season. That four star rating is only for today’s experience and is what would be the case at any location in mid December ***. HOWEVER, this is a great location and Ms. Zuck andAshley and Paula are really great! So is the other lady, whose name I have forgotten and who is married to the male nurse. This branch and the services it provides to our community at our end of Stafford County, VA is a huge positive. Never had a bad experience in all these years. I recommend this location all of the time. It is perfect for the many needs that we have, such as shots, sports physicals, even Covid testing. So, thank you for having located the office off of White Oak road! Good quality all of the way around. Thank you for serving our community.

Had Rapid Covid test done here. Staff was friendly and professional. Very impressed with the doctor, Dr. Amin, who talked with me after the negative test results. Booked my appointment online. Doctor’s bedside manner was excellent! Yes, I would recommend this clinic. Staff are personable, doctor answered all my questions.

Really great service! The staff are friendly Moodi he came right out and was friendly and clear and gave me my Covid test it was so painless really quick I was in and out of there. I got a bit lost and they were patient with me while finding my way so I was a bit late. They didn’t make me wait extra they are great. You can also do everything over the app so def recommend to anyone

I arrived and walked in to see if I could get a COVID test so I could see my father who is going into hospice. Although I waited 45 min or so the staff bent over backwards to assist me so I could have a final visit with my Dad. I will be forever thankful!

I got in line an hour and a half before it opened to make sure I was able to get seen. Because of all the Covid testing, the wait is extremely long. I appreciate the staff that was there to allow me to get seen…found out they were short staffed They are very friendly, helpful, and quick once I was in the clinic room.

I was there for a COVID-19 test as a presceen for a hospital procedure. I was able to get a same day appointment. The procedure was quick and painless. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to get my results sent to my doctor without me even having to ask. Best of all I was in and out in 20 minutes! AMAZING!

Im a chronic sinus infection patient. Thank goodness the practitioner decided to check one last thing and run a flu test before me leaving with an antibiotic script. It was NOT a sinus infection and was Flu B - the antibiotics would have not helped and caused other issues (I have low good gut bacteria and need to take antibiotics sparingly) - very thankful for her thoroughness. Tamiflu is helping. Noticing the wheezing in my lungs, Im hoping the steroid clears that up. Thoroughly listening, taking the time to listen to my issues - just thank you to her

As a school employee who was just identified as a close contact for Covid exposure, I am so grateful that the staff at NextCare was able to help me with getting Covid tested. Despite the ongoing strain these healthcare workers are surely under, they were all kind, helpful, and thorough.

We only needed a Covid test for my 7 year old to start school (he was healthy, just had to make it official). The process was quick and easy. The nurse who administered the test was very kind, explained what she would do, and treated my son with respect.

- Verified patient on 8/28

It was an easy process to make an online appointment. Although the time I needed an appointment was not desirable (because of influx of covid cases) they were the only location in my immediate area to get a Covid test in the same day for which the appointment was made. Staff was very courteous and were very diligent to triage my child's symptoms effectively. Their online system to receive test results was easy to access. I definitely would recommend this facility when you are unable to see your primary care physician.

- Verified patient on 9/22

This is a place you never want to voluntarily go but when you do have to go the entire team makes you and your little one feel safe and in good hands. One never feels paranoid for bringing your child to this practice for off hours or emergency help. We appreciate the care and how wonderful the team from check-in to diagnosis to testing.

- Verified patient on 9/17

There was little to no wait until I got back to the room. Then I waited for 45 min to see a doctor and another 30 minutes for a doctors note. Seems a little much considering I had an appointment and only needed a COVID test. It was a long wait with a 2-year old

- Verified patient on 9/5

I came for a nonsymptomtic Covid test so I could see family. The day before I wasn’t allowed even though I was 16 in line. I had also tried to make an appointment earlier but was told that wasn’t possible. It’s difficult to figure out how the system works.

Nurse Tiffany was wonderful. She made me feel like I’ve been a long time patient and answered all of my questions. Excellent bedside manner. My doctor (can’t remember her name) was also excellent. She took tome to explain my treatment and advised me in how to self treat until my Covid send off test returns. Will definitely recommend this facility based on my expert be with these two professionals.

Great care started right the front desk with incredible help and guidance from Atifa. Dr. Mark Roddy was so patient and gave very helpful care. Becky was terrific giving the COVID test. As a side note, l loved the Western art work throughout the office. This office also gave amazing help to my wife last Friday. Thanks so much for the great medical care and experience. Cheers!

I had to have a "Pre-Op" COVID test. My appointment was 8:15am (right after opening for the day). Everything went fine with getting the test. But while waiting for the results, noticed what looked like blood on the floor. Looked like it was dripping & splashed from the exam table. Quite Gross. I thought, in a time where cleanliness and sanitation is a must, this is so bad. It made me think the place wasn't sanitized. At this point I just wanted to get out of there.

Culpeper Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. To see how you're responding to a drug or to check if you're at risk for certain diseases, lab tests may be performed.

Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
