My 2 kids have been sick for about a month. We’ve tried all the natural remedies and otc medications and just weren't getting better. Pre-registered online and filled out my paperwork. They were busy and under staffed so the wait was understandable. Front staff and nurses were friendly. I was happy to see that Shannon was our NP. We have been so lucky to see her every visit since we started coming. She has perfect bedside manner and it just feels like you're talking to family when she’s around. I’ve always had a great experience with her and my 4 year old loves and feels comfortable with her as well. I highly recommend this urgent over all the other ones in Statesville. So glad that we don’t have to settle for not-so-fast med anymore!

A great experience for something I had a lot of anxiety about. Had no wait time or issues at the testing center/lab. Had blood drawn at 3pm and had results by email at 9am the next morning.

Newton Chlamydia Testing

Who should get tested for chlamydia?

According to the CDC, anyone who is sexually active can get chlamydia, but the infection is especially common among young people aged 15-24 years. It's recommended that sexually active women under 25, older women with risk factors such as new or multiple sex partners, and men who have sex with men should get tested annually. However, it's also important for anyone who has unprotected sex, has a new partner, or multiple partners to consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Chlamydia is often dubbed a 'silent' infection because most people who have it don't show any symptoms. This makes testing crucial in preventing the spread of the disease and avoiding potential long-term health complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility in women. According to the CDC, prompt diagnosis and treatment can significantly reduce these risks.

In addition to chlamydia, other STDs such as gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis are also of concern.
