I recently visited Bellaire ER and they were excellent all around. Miss Ana in the front desk was very nice and helpful. And Dr. Quintanilla was very professional and gave me the upmost care! I would definitely recommend and use Bellaire ER again!

I would get rid of the option to make an appointment all together. There’s absolutely no reason for it since you’re never seen at that time. Medical staff was nice and understanding.

Tamara at Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care was phenomenal. She demonstrated an extraordinary ability to balance care, efficiency, and effectiveness while helping this grandmother navigate concerns involving potential cost, technology, and the delicate responsibility of communicating with my grandson’s parents. I had come from an ophthalmology appointment earlier that day where my eyes had been dilated, leaving me unable to read the small print on my screen. Tamara immediately adapted. She helped me navigate the technology and get screenshots transferred into the system so the information could get where it needed to go. But Tamara didn’t simply answer questions or provide technical assistance. She listened, problem-solved, and even negotiated to help find a workable solution. She understood that this wasn’t simply about an appointment or a bill. It was about helping a grandmother care for her grandson while respecting his parents, considering the potential cost, and making sure everyone had the information needed to make a good decision. Tamara combined compassion with competence and turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a manageable one. Her ability to provide care with efficiency and effectiveness—while never losing the human element—was exceptional. Little Spurs is very fortunate to have Tamara.

Scheduling was easy, I did it the night before. When I arrived, I was 2nd in line according to their link, and there didn’t seem to be many people there. Still, it took over an hour to be taken back and nearly 2 hours when all was said and done. This is my Urgent Care clinic of choice, but I’ve never seen this doctor before and it’s never taken this long in the past. Still, I would continue to use this clinic. Staff were friendly and my prescription was sent to my pharmacy promptly.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this location. The pediatrician/NP was great and I have no complaints about the medical provider, but the front desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was absolutely no courtesy or respect in the way we were spoken to. As parents bringing in our children, we should not be made to feel like we are an inconvenience or be talked to like we're garbage. I especially had a poor experience with the woman at the front desk who wears glasses. The customer service was unacceptable. We also accidentally left a pair of glasses behind, and instead of the situation being handled professionally, it added to an already frustrating experience. I would recommend going to the Fredericksburg location or another Little Spurs location instead. The medical provider here was good, but unfortunately the front desk experience was enough that I would not return to this location because that front staff is absolutely so rude. When checking in at the Texas MedClinic waiting time was lengthy, but once we were called to the back. The Medical Assistant was absolutely very Thorough has a excellent personality I would like if Esther skills were passed on to the intire team. The Doctor also was very thorough and explaining over the treatment and follow up. I diffently would recommend this facility. Just make sure and register online before arriving so it can cut down on the waiting time.

Medical team was very efficient and professional. The provider did a great job of discussing and explaining all issues we came in for and had her tested. Prescription was ordered and we were on our way with a plan for recovery.

Urgent care in Castle Hills, TX

Castle Hills is a small, fully enclosed enclave inside north San Antonio, surrounded on all sides by the city. Residents draw on the dense north-side urgent care market anchored by Methodist and Baptist Health. Book online below or compare options across urgent care in San Antonio.

What services do urgent care clinics in Castle Hills offer?

Urgent care clinics serving Castle Hills, TX treat respiratory illness, lacerations, sprains, urinary tract infections, sports physicals, and routine pediatric concerns. Methodist Healthcare and Baptist Health System operate the closest hospital-affiliated clinics inside the surrounding North Central San Antonio area, and freestanding chains maintain locations along Loop 410 and West Avenue.2

Most Castle Hills urgent care clinics offer same-day online booking, on-site X-ray for sprains and possible fractures, and basic in-house labs (rapid strep, flu, COVID, urine, glucose). Walk-in volume is typically highest on weekday evenings and weekends; booking online and arriving with insurance card and photo ID in hand is the fastest path through the door. Many clinics also offer telehealth for follow-up visits and medication refills.

Does urgent care in Castle Hills accept Texas STAR Medicaid?

Yes. Most urgent care clinics serving the Castle Hills area accept Texas STAR Medicaid, the state managed-care Medicaid program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Coverage and in-network status vary by managed-care organization. KFF reports roughly 16% of Texas residents are covered by Medicaid statewide.3

For uninsured patients in Castle Hills, most urgent care clinics publish self-pay rates online — typical visits run between $125 and $250 depending on labs, X-ray, and procedures performed. Patients without STAR Medicaid coverage but who may qualify can apply through YourTexasBenefits.com or Texas Health and Human Services. Federally Qualified Health Centers in the broader region also offer sliding-scale primary care for non-emergency needs.

How does Castle Hills urgent care relate to San Antonio?

Castle Hills is an enclave city in Bexar County, fully surrounded by north San Antonio. With a population of an estimated 4,200 residents per U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,4 the city is geographically inside the San Antonio urban core but operates as a separate municipality. Residents access the dense north-side urgent care market — see urgent care in San Antonio.

Because Castle Hills is fully surrounded by San Antonio, the city has no separate urgent care market — residents draw on the dense north-side cluster of clinics, hospitals, and specialty groups that serves the broader Loop 410 / West Avenue corridor. Drive times to the nearest clinic are typically under 10 minutes.
