I just moved to San Marcos and had a sinus and ear infection. I have no primary yet so had to go here. The staff was so friendly and helpful in the check in process. I had a problem on my phone and he took care of it. The nurse was helpful and so friendly too. The doctor was great. I really liked him. Hopefully I won't have to use them again but if I do I feel confident that it will be a great experience.

It was a wonderful experience from front office to nurse to doctor. Dr Keller had a great bedside manner and really listened to my issues. I will definitely share my experience with others and make sure all my kids stop using a different clinic and start using Fast Aid Urgent Care. And the icing on the cake is it’s owned by a Veteran. Thank you for your service, devotion and sacrifice!

Urgent care in Luling, TX

Luling sits in Caldwell County along the I-10/US-90 corridor between Austin and San Antonio, with urgent care needs routed to nearby Lockhart, San Marcos, Seguin, and the broader Austin market. Book a walk-in slot near you or in urgent care in Austin in under a minute.

What services do urgent care clinics in Luling offer?

Luling residents typically use urgent care clinics or hospital-affiliated walk-ins at Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis (Lockhart) or Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (Seguin) for routine acute care — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, minor injuries, and on-site labs and X-ray. Specialty and higher-acuity care routes into the broader Austin / San Antonio hospital market.2

Does urgent care in Luling accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Luling area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Texas has not expanded Medicaid, leaving working-age adults above STAR thresholds in a coverage gap — KFF tracks Texas as the state with the highest uninsured rate in the U.S.3 Confirm STAR plan acceptance directly with the clinic before booking.

How does Luling urgent care relate to Austin?

Luling has roughly 5,613 residents and is best known historically for its oil and natural gas industry — pump jacks remain a fixture in town — and the annual Watermelon Thump festival.4 It sits about 50 miles south of Austin and 60 miles east of San Antonio, with the local economy tied to oil and gas, ranching, and tourism. Specialty healthcare typically routes into urgent care in Austin or San Antonio.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Luling?

Yes. Luling, TX has walk-in urgent care available either directly in town or within a short drive in adjacent communities. Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Luling accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Luling area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Luling accept?

Most Luling-area urgent care clinics accept commercial insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana), Medicare, and TRICARE for active-duty military and veterans. Many also accept STAR (Texas Medicaid). Cash-pay and self-pay options are widely available — average urgent care visit costs run $100-$250 depending on services. Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Luling?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Luling residents is Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital (Lockhart).
  • Can urgent care in Luling handle oil and gas worker injuries?

Yes. Luling-area urgent care and hospital-affiliated clinics routinely handle occupational injuries from the local oil, gas, and ranching workforce — including lacerations, burns, sprains, and post-incident drug screens. For serious traumatic injuries, patients are stabilized locally and transferred to a higher-level trauma center in Austin or San Antonio.
