Such relief to know about After Hour Pediatrics especially during this pandemic. They have been a big help getting my kids the rapid and PCR test as soon as possible. The staff is wonderful and the fact that they are open late everyday is a big plus! Would definitely recommend!

I took my mom to 777 E Santa Clara clinic to see her primary doctor. Her PCP put an Urgent order for X-Ray to find the reason for her severe pain. We stopped at Radiology. The clerk was at break and there was a sign to go to Urgent care to register. I took my mom to Urgent Care and talked to Barbara Celaya and handed her the order summery. She was confused about the order and the location of X- Ray and asked me if X- Ray is from pelvic or Cervical. I explained to her that I am not sure and it should be on the paper. She got upset, handed me back my papers, REFUSED to register my mom. I was shocked. Asked her to talk to her supervisor. She told me that she is the supervisor. Then she called security and told them that she has a difficult patient and wanted them to come to take me out. She Refused to give me her last name. She Ordered another staff to not help me and not give me her information. I am a health care professional and have never seen such an unprofessional behavior. If she hates her job, maybe someone else needs to take that position. If she did not like me because of my Race, is another issue. Because of her terrible behavior, my mom's treatment is delayed. And this is not right. And no one should be going through this. Is not patient's fault if the order is not clear. My mom did not placed the order. She could call the PCP and clarify with her. She dose not have right to REFUSE to care for a patient. I will take this matter to higher up and I would like to talk to someone from this clinic.

My husband and I were both tested at Action Urgent Care and we tested positive for Covid 19. Our Dr. recommended that we go to Action Urgent Care for the testing. We are so glad we did! First, the staff was all so caring, positive and kind. This gave us a very encouraging feeling to know that we were being taken care of. And then we were given our Nurse Practitioner, our Angel of Mercy, Destiny. She is absolutely incredible. She was so loving, calm and caring and knowledgeable and she made us feel like we were going to pull through this without having to be hospitalized. And we did. Thank you Action Urgent Care and Destiny. You are the best! We highly recommend you!

I've been to this urgent care clinic twice and twice I've been turned away to the Emergency room because I am a walk in patient. They don't help people that they don't expect. Even thought it's appt. preferred, they will not help a walk in patient unless it's between 10 - 1 (for example). While staff was not rude, they will not help or make exceptions either. Go to the ER or that's management's thing is all the answers they are willing to give me.

Very unprofessional and inexperienced staff, extremely long wait and finally the doctor doesn’t seem confident and I wouldn’t trust my care to her again.

Where should I get an STD test in San Jose?

In a doctor's office, a health clinic, or an urgent care center, you can get an STD test. If you're experiencing symptoms, it's best to visit a doctor's office, where they can also treat you or issue you a prescription. While some San Jose clinics and urgent care centers allow walk-in appointments, it's advisable to make an appointment ahead of time to prevent excessive waits.

How long does it take to get STD test results?

Various testing are required for various STDs. Depending on the type of STD test you took, you may receive your results in two to ten days. Some outcomes may be immediately available. Your doctor may be able to diagnose an STD through a physical examination. In some cases, your doctor's office may only contact you if your test results are positive.

How much does an STD test cost?

The cost of STD testing is governed by several factors, including where you are tested, the type of test you need, and if you have health insurance. How do they test for STDs?

There are around 20 different forms of STDs, each with its own set of diagnostic tests. No single test exists that can detect all types of STDs. Your doctor can help you figure out which tests you'll need. In STD testing, a blood sample or a urine sample may be used. Your doctor may also take a swab from the inside of your cheek, your vaginal area, or another potentially infected place.

What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

Blood tests are used to diagnose hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes, HIV, and syphilis. In a laboratory, a technician examines a blood sample for antibodies that the body has produced in reaction to disease. The virus's DNA can also be detected by several blood tests. Remember that if you've recently been exposed to an STD and your body hasn't yet produced antibodies, you could test negative even if you have the disease.

Can I test myself for STDs at home?

Although there are several STD home tests available, not all of them are accurate. The accuracy of any STD test is determined by the quality of the sample taken. For home STD kits, a blood sample, a urine sample, or both are frequently required. Because doctors and nurses have more experience collecting samples, traditional in-office STD testing is the most accurate.
