Since I was presenting with a sore throat and fever, and I was prescribed doxycycline, Iโ€™m surprised that nobody even looked in my throat to see if there were signs of a bacterial infection. Isnโ€™t that standard procedure? In addition, I informed the medical technician that I was taking Cialis for BPH. I was prescribed cough medicine that is contraindicated for an enlarged prostate.

I have been to this urgent care several times. Each time I was taken care of quickly and and with good results. Staff is top notch. Thank you! Above was written right after visit. I came back 6 days later and 2 people were in front of me and 2 people were behind me. I was shocked when the last person who walked in was taken first. I asked front desk and was told she filled out her paperwork first. I couldn't do it because the app wouldn't allow me to take pictures of my cards. Also when I walked in I said I was here 6 days ago and tried to give her my cards. She said you are all good go sit down. I figured I was good. After the first person told me her paperwork was filled out first another person behind the counter said...she was here to see someone else. I then asked how many Drs are here she said 1...I use to live this place but not anymore. You need to give out numbers like the deli counter so the last person who walked in doesn't get taken in first. Horrible experience I am so mad. But I'm stuck here waiting....I'm here an hour now I will tell all my friends to stay away from this place. I will shout it from the rooftop! Urgent care need to change their check in system. The proper way to take in patients is in the order they came in. If someone can't wait they need to go to the ER.

The check in computer machines were too complicated for Senior Citizens and individuals who are not computer savvy. ย We had to use several check in machines to check in. The receptionist had to use two machines before she could check us in. Staff was very nice.

Had been experiencing jaw pain for a few days and I knew I wouldnโ€™t be able to see my dentist until at least Monday. I was hesitant to go urgent care on a Saturday, I assumed Iโ€™d be waiting forever and for jaw pain, they wouldnโ€™t be able to do much. But actually, I reserved a spot online and they took me right away. The medical assistant and doctor were so nice, helped me as best as they could, and sent me home with a prescription that eased the pain tremendously the next day. Iโ€™d never been to this location before but Iโ€™m glad I made the trip and the next time I need to go to urgent care, Iโ€™ll be going here. Thank you everyone at AFC Piscataway !

Allergy season had been wreaking havoc on my system for over a week and I couldn't take anymore when my chest began rattling from all the wheezing. The wait time was under 15 min. Bradley was so patient and attentive. I had a breathing treatment in the office and meds were called in immediately. Would definitely recommend.

Millstone Cholesterol Tests

Cholesterol isn't always a negative thing. It aids in the growth of cells and the production of hormones, among other things. On the other hand, too much cholesterol might be dangerous.

Cholesterol comes from two different places. The liver produces cholesterol, and dietary cholesterol comes from the foods you eat. Cholesterol is found in meat, dairy, and eggs, among other animal products. Foods high in saturated and trans fats may cause your liver to produce more cholesterol than you need, resulting in dangerous cholesterol levels.

High cholesterol increases the risk of heart attack and stroke, which are two of the leading causes of mortality in the United States. In the United States, approximately 38% of people have high total cholesterol levels. Because high cholesterol has no symptoms, it's critical to have your levels checked to ensure they're within normal ranges. Cholesterol levels in children and teenagers should also be checked.

According to the CDC, those over the age of 20 who have a low risk of cardiovascular disease should get their cholesterol checked every five years. Those with risk factors for cardiovascular disease should have their cholesterol checked more frequently. Other risk factors for heart disease

Fortunately, simple lifestyle changes can help you lower your cholesterol. Reduce your intake of saturated fats and eliminate trans fats from your diet as much as feasible. Trans fats are widely found in store-bought cookies and baked goods, and are labeled as "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" on food labels. Limit your intake of processed foods, especially those heavy in sugar, and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Increase your physical activity by at least three times per week. Any type of physical activity is useful. Instead of taking the elevator during your lunch break, go for a walk. Aim for at least 10,000 steps per day.

Don't smoke, and drink alcohol only in moderation. Not only will these changes help you lower your cholesterol, but they will also improve your cardiovascular health.
