The patient patient exam room was cleaned with a chemical that was making me cough, and was extremely nauseous. 4-23โ€“26 In all of my years of going to a doctorsโ€™s office, that was the worst. Even the employees there were complaining.

I was able to get an appointment same day, within 45 minutes but it really didnโ€™t help because I waited almost an hour and a half to be seen. Iโ€™m also not sure I agree with some of the diagnoses. If Iโ€™m not feeling slightly better by tomorrow Iโ€™ll be going to a different place.

My experience was very good. I didnโ€™t have to wait long and the doctor is absolutely awesome. I donโ€™t remember her name unfortunately, but she is an awesome Doctor. This is the second time Iโ€™ve gotten her to examine me and the diagnosis and what she treated me with was really really wonderful. What a great place to come to when someone is ill.

I was able to choose a Quest lab location and schedule an appointment. Check in was easy, and I only needed to provide my name and DOB. They were able to locate my order in their system. They were already aware that my labs were paid for prior to the appointment. I had my labs done on a Wednesday, and I received my results by Saturday. Great experience.

A great experience for something I had a lot of anxiety about. Had no wait time or issues at the testing center/lab. Had blood drawn at 3pm and had results by email at 9am the next morning.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person, shared needles or syringes, or had unprotected sex with multiple partners should get tested for hepatitis. This also includes individuals who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, have a family member with hepatitis, or are born to a mother with hepatitis. It's also recommended for anyone who has ever injected drugs, even if it was just once or many years ago.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Early detection can help prevent these complications and ensure appropriate treatment. Moreover, knowing your hepatitis status can help prevent the spread of the disease to others.

Prevalence of hepatitis in St. Pete Beach

While specific data for St. Pete Beach is not readily available, Pinellas County, where St. Pete Beach is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the past few years, echoing the national trend. This increase could be attributed to several factors, including increased testing and awareness, as well as the ongoing opioid crisis which has led to an increase in shared needle use.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in St. Pete Beach

Risk factors for hepatitis in St. Pete Beach are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex with multiple partners, sharing needles or syringes, having a family member with hepatitis, and traveling to countries with high rates of the disease.

As with hepatitis, these diseases can be detected through testing at local clinics, primary care providers, or at-home testing kits. It's important to note that the presence of one STD can increase the risk of contracting another, making regular testing crucial for those at risk.
