Friendly Staff

Urgent care
I was shocked how easy it was to schedule an appointment on line and for my visit to truly occur at that time. The staff was great, especially the nurse practitioner, Brenda K. She was kind, attentive and proactive. She knew the right questions to ask which made the visit more efficient and easier on me. I felt horrible and she did not make me wait or have to talk a lot. I wish I could have her as my PCP!  I definitely recommend this facility to everyone.

Urgent care in Dayton, TX

Dayton is the largest city in Liberty County, with nearly 10,000 residents situated along US-90 about 30 miles northeast of Houston. The city serves as a regional service hub for eastern Harris and Liberty counties, making walk-in urgent care an accessible option for residents throughout the area. For a wider network of same-day care, urgent care in Houston is about 30 minutes west via US-90 or I-10.

What services do urgent care clinics in Dayton offer?

Walk-in clinics in Dayton treat a full range of minor and moderate conditions: respiratory infections, flu and COVID-19, strep, ear and sinus infections, UTIs, skin infections, minor lacerations and wound care, sprains and strains, and occupational health needs. Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital provides hospital-level backup for the eastern Houston corridor, while HCA Houston Healthcare systems maintain clinics and emergency services along the I-10 East corridor.2

Dayton's position as Liberty County's largest city means local urgent care clinics serve not only Dayton residents but also patients from smaller surrounding communities such as Liberty, Highlands, and Devers. Extended hours and walk-in availability are standard at most facilities.

Does urgent care in Dayton accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics in Dayton participate in STAR, Texas's Medicaid managed care program for qualifying children, families, and pregnant women, administered by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.1 Liberty County has relatively high Medicaid enrollment rates, and area providers are generally experienced with STAR billing and managed care coordination. Confirm your MCO plan is accepted and bring your STAR card to every visit.3

How does Dayton urgent care relate to Houston?

Dayton serves as the commercial and healthcare anchor for Liberty County, a largely rural county northeast of Houston. According to the U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts, Dayton's population was approximately 9,752 as of the most recent census estimates, making it the county's most populous city.4 While healthcare resources in Dayton are more limited than in the Houston metro, local urgent care clinics provide essential walk-in services that reduce unnecessary ER utilization for the region's residents. Full specialist and hospital access is available via Houston to the west.
