I felt like the sickness was dismissed as a virus very quickly, didn’t even bother to check for strep. The staff is very friendly, but I just wish they would take our concerns a little more serious.

From walking in the door, the girls up front registering and paying, zero wait time, MA accessing and vitals, my seats, blood, shots, and of course the dr visit was excellent. Such knowledgeable personnel and pleasant and empathetic to my situation.  Excellent care all the way around.  Excellent Dr was very thorough conservative and took extra time and care.

I blame the company for the wait time — offering 10 appointment times in one hour is irresponsible and poor personnel management— I felt terrible for the one receptionist, the one nurse, and the one practitioner. The people were lovely but the process needs improvement.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone can contract hepatitis, but certain groups are at a higher risk. These include individuals who have been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person, those who have unprotected sex with an infected person, and individuals who share needles or other drug paraphernalia. Also, people who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, and those with a family history of the disease should consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial as it can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, such as liver disease, liver cancer, and cirrhosis. Early detection can help prevent these complications and allow for more effective treatment. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not have symptoms, so testing is the only way to know for sure if you have the disease.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Carrollton

While exact numbers for Carrollton are not readily available, data from Dallas County, where Carrollton is located, can provide some insight. According to the CDC, the prevalence of hepatitis in Dallas County is slightly higher than the national average. This could be due to several factors, including a higher rate of drug use or unprotected sex, both of which are risk factors for hepatitis.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Carrollton

Risk factors for hepatitis in Carrollton are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include unprotected sex, sharing needles, and exposure to infected blood or body fluids.
