I had an appointment and arrived early. It was a really long wait with one person in front of me. Staff was awesome though. I didn't really feel that I had to be seen by so many different staff members and technicians (4) just for lab work. Never got a call back on rapid results.

New to area (just moved here) my son drove me to your facility as closer than St David after a surprise visit to my apt. He knew I was not feeling well. I was treated right away. Dx w L LL Pnemonia and script for 2 antibiotics. Treated by a Nurse Practitioner!!!😍I was very pleased as I am a retired Hospital RN and have twin identical BSN nurses! One at MD Anderson -Houston and works as ER nurse in Des Plaines Illinois. .

Wait time is everything. I had to wait almost an hour for having pink eye. After waiting so long, I was seen and out the door in 5 minutes. Ridiculous.

Urgent care in Liberty Hill, TX

Liberty Hill is one of the fastest-growing exurbs in the Austin metro, set along SH-29 northwest of Cedar Park and Leander. Most urgent care visits route to nearby clinics in Leander and Cedar Park or into urgent care in Austin for the broader system options.

What services do urgent care clinics in Liberty Hill offer?

Liberty Hill residents typically use urgent care clinics in adjacent Leander and Cedar Park for routine walk-in needs — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, sports and school physicals — with on-site labs and X-ray. Baylor Scott & White, Ascension Seton, and St. David's HealthCare all operate hospital-affiliated urgent care or freestanding ERs in the 183A corridor immediately south, and several independent and franchise urgent care clinics have opened along SH-29 to keep up with growth.2

Does urgent care in Liberty Hill accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most Liberty Hill-area urgent care clinics accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Because Texas has not expanded Medicaid, eligibility is limited primarily to children, pregnant women, and very low-income families — KFF tracks Texas as the state with the highest uninsured rate in the U.S.3 Liberty Hill's rapid growth means new clinics are opening regularly; confirm STAR managed care acceptance directly with the clinic.

How does Liberty Hill urgent care relate to Austin?

Liberty Hill has grown from under 1,000 residents in 2010 to roughly 3,646 in the last Census count, with the broader school district population expanding far faster.4 It sits about 35 miles northwest of downtown Austin and is shaped by the same Williamson County tech and housing boom driving Leander and Cedar Park. For specialist or trauma care, residents typically route into Cedar Park Regional Medical Center or further into urgent care in Austin.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Liberty Hill?

Yes. Liberty Hill, TX has walk-in urgent care available either directly in town or within a short drive in adjacent communities. Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Liberty Hill accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Liberty Hill area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Liberty Hill accept?

Most Liberty Hill-area urgent care clinics accept commercial insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana), Medicare, and TRICARE for active-duty military and veterans. Many also accept STAR (Texas Medicaid). Cash-pay and self-pay options are widely available — average urgent care visit costs run $100-$250 depending on services. Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Liberty Hill?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Liberty Hill residents is Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.
  • How fast is Liberty Hill growing, and is urgent care keeping up?

Liberty Hill ISD has been among the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, with the broader area population expanding dramatically over the last decade. Urgent care supply has lagged demand — new clinics are opening along SH-29 and the 183A corridor in Leander, but expect longer waits at peak hours. Online booking helps you secure a slot before walking in.
