Urgent care
New to area (just moved here) my son drove me to your facility as closer than St David after a surprise visit to my apt. He knew I was not feeling well. I was treated right away. Dx w L LL Pnemonia and script for 2 antibiotics. Treated by a Nurse Practitioner!!!😍I was very pleased as I am a retired Hospital RN and have twin identical BSN nurses! One at MD Anderson -Houston and works as ER nurse in Des Plaines Illinois. .

Pediatric urgent care
I scheduled and appt for 8pm. The text I received said to check in by 745 which I did. When I walked in there were 3 other families in the waiting area. No one at the front desk to greet you, just check in on the iPad. I then received a text that said you can check your place in line there were 3 other families listed and it stated 2(1 of which was mine) had an appt and the other 2 were walk ins. I watched 1 appt and 1 walk in go ahead before me and another family left so we got called back around 8:06 because the other family walked out. We were told 4 other families were ahead of us. I asked what the point in making an appt is if that was the case. I knew all the families before us didn’t have appts. At least 2 of them. So, we waited. The lady came in and did vitals and brought us back some ibuprofen. Just handed me the syringe and said to give it to her. Not once did she try to help when she seen I was struggling to give it because my daughter was screaming and kicking she just kept trying to give her a popsicle which wasn’t helping the situation. Before I even finished giving the meds she walked out and said the doctor will be with us shortly. We waited an hour and 15 minutes before I went out to check what the hold up was and they told me she was in the room and I was next. Ok, yeah. So we waited and the doctor walked in at 9:36. She was great but the whole process of how they take the patients back needs to be reassessed. I believe the patients who make appts should be called back before the walk ins because what’s the point in making one when they just take you back by the order you signed in as. Maybe having more than one doctor on site when it’s the busy sick season would be good too. We got out of there going on 10pm and I had to run home check on my newborn who I needed to feed and then go back out again and grab the meds at the 24 hour pharmacy!!

I recently visited Bellaire ER and they were excellent all around. Miss Ana in the front desk was very nice and helpful. And Dr. Quintanilla was very professional and gave me the upmost care! I would definitely recommend and use Bellaire ER again!

I had an appointment and arrived early. It was a really long wait with one person in front of me. Staff was awesome though. I didn't really feel that I had to be seen by so many different staff members and technicians (4) just for lab work. Never got a call back on rapid results.

This is a great place to walk into when you are feeling awful! The medical team was understanding, kind, professional and knew what they were doing. I walked out knowing what was wrong with me and my medications were ready at the pharmacy as soon as I arrived. This was the smoothest, least stressful urgent care appointment I have experienced. I’m also from out of state. The woman at the front desk processed my insurance immediately. Most importantly, the medical assistant was very thorough and so nice and the doctor was very knowledgeable and calming. All in all a great experience when you’re feeling horrible! If I lived here, I would even consider having them as my regular ‘go to’ physician!

Tried to complete requested paperwork on line but continued to get redo information. Fill out the best I could but when arrived at center had to complete all again. After completed, Admin. Urgent Care Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Round Rock?

Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Round Rock accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Round Rock area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.

Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Round Rock?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Round Rock residents is St. David's Round Rock Medical Center.
  • Are pediatric urgent care options available in Round Rock?

Yes. Several Round Rock clinics — including pediatric-specific offerings from Dell Children's, Texas Children's Pediatrics, and PM Pediatrics — handle children specifically, with pediatric-trained staff and equipment. During cold and flu season, peak demand windows fill up early; book online to confirm availability before driving in.
