Super fast, CLEAN, and amazing doctors, nurses and staff. I booked our child’s appointment through solv website, but even though we had a set time, they worked us in according to how many patients were there. We are self pay so the cost was what I expected, but not outrageous. The check in was super easy, I did it from my phone right after we parked. I totally recommend this facility for any child minor emergency. Our pediatrician actually recommended us to come here and I wouldn’t doubt the quality of care especially if our established practice is recommending. OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you so much for your amazing care for our child!♥️

Super fast. Friendly. I was expecting a long wait. I barely had time to sit down in the waiting room before being called. Great communication with the PA beyond what my issue for being there was. There are other urgent care clinics closer to my home but when I called them they were not willing to help me. NextCare said come on in.

Came to Austin for a short vacation during spring break and sadly needed medical support of our youngest son, Boyd. The check-in process was simple and fast, and the staff was exceptional!! Best thing is that it’s so convenient to Kalahari!!! Would definitely be my go to for pediatric urgent care if we lived in the area!

Alina & the front desk clerk were very kind. Unfortunately, I didn't get front desk clerks name. But she was awesome. She had a mom of an older man complaining to her is for his mistakes. Fighting his battles for him and she handled it so professionally and with kindness. Kudos girl.

I didn't particularly like this PA Roberts. I found him to be creepy talking to me like a small child and disagreeable. Like he was goading me and waiting for me to lash out. He borderline called me a drug addiction and I don't appreciate that at all!

Very satisfied with my son's visit. I know we are in different ti.es now (covid) but they actually did a real assessment on my son. I know at times a virtual assessment is ok, but sometimes you just need your kid checked out appropriately. They are doing their jobs as nurses and nurse practitioners, not using the virus as an excuse not to provide real, actual care.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • How much will an urgent care visit in Round Rock cost?

The price charged at an urgent care, whether in Round Rock or elsewhere, will be based on the location, and there are no actual standard costs between the clinics. Assuming you are paying with cash, you might come across an urgent clinic that charges you $50 while another situated some mile away charges you $100 for the same services. The standard cost in urgent care where insurance cover is not involved ranges from $100 to $125. This price is generally the standard price of a visit before extra services. There are a couple of additional care services that could make your appointment to an urgent care costly including x-rays and lab tests, medications and injections (such as immunization), casting broken bones, as well as stitches and splints. If you have a viable insurance plan in place, the standard pay will be between $20 – 50 depending on your insurance coverage and whether you are in contact with the provider.

  • Are Round Rock urgent care centers open after hours?

Most primary care doctor offices are open during routine work hours, Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Conversely, most of the urgent care centers in Round Rock are available after hours, on weekends, and many holidays. Typical urgent care hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, although location-specific hours may vary.

  • Do urgent care centers in Round Rock take appointments?

Historically, urgent care centers were strictly an on-demand, walk-in healthcare service mode. More recently, as consumer behaviors and expectations have evolved, many urgent care clinics have begun offering book ahead visits, allowing consumers to select a same-day or next-day time that works best for their schedule. Use Solv to find a Round Rock urgent care center that offers advanced bookings (or appointments) and book online.

  • How do I book an appointment online with an urgent care in Round Rock?

Solv allows Round Rock residents and visitors to book urgent care visits online with just a few taps. Same-day and next-day visit times are generally available, and you can search for real-time availability clinics.

  • How can I find an urgent care in Round Rock who takes my insurance?

Solv allows you to find any of the urgent care and walk-in clinics in Round Rock, many of which accept most major commercial insurances. Just browse the clinics page to see if your carrier and plan is listed. If you are still unsure, it is best to contact the urgent care center directly for clarification.

  • Do Round Rock urgent care centers offer virtual visits or telemedicine?

Many urgent care centers, including those in Round Rock, now offer virtual visits or telemedicine for residents and visitors throughout the state. Virtual urgent care visits are generally booked online whether in advance or on-demand. Clinics that do offer virtual care have a video icon on their profiles.

  • What is the best urgent care center in Round Rock?

While it would be easy to provide a list of urgent care centers in and around Round Rock, 'best' is a challenging term to qualify. For some consumers, that could mean the closest location whereas other people may prioritize patient reviews, service costs, availability, or whether or not the provider accepts their insurance. With the list of locations above, use the filters provided to narrow the results to find the best urgent care for your needs.

  • What is urgent care?

Urgent care are available to assist patients that are looking for immediate, convenient medical care. In that manner, they are similar to an emergency room. The difference, however, is that ERs are meant to treat major, life-threatening injuries and illnesses while urgent care centers manage life’s minor bruises and bumps. In simple terms, an urgent care is seen as a walk-in health center that focuses in offering non-emergent health care conditions, including the treatment of the typical illnesses and injuries such as fractures and sprains, cuts and burns, scrapes, stings and bites, flu and cold symptoms, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, and much more. Most urgent care facilities offer both diagnostic and preventive care such as well visits, immunizations, STD testing and annual physicals. For regular visits and check-ups on these clinics, you should expect to pay between $20 and $100. The good thing is that most urgent care clinics will accept major PPOs and insurance cover, Medicare, as well as self-pay in the form of credit cards or cash. Urgent care clinics are located in most parts of the country in various regions to offset emergency room visits and provide a gap in healthcare services. They take patients during all hours of operations, which offer a significant convenience to most people who have and continue to undergo the need for sudden and immediate medical attention.

Recent Urgent Care Reviews (20)

This was our first experience at this pedi urgent care and I was very impressed. The staff was incredible and so accommodating to us. Our 6 yr old came in with strep symptoms and was in a lot of pain and discomfort. They accommodated her immediately to ensure she was comfortable while we waited our turn. Even letting her lay down in a vacant room while we waited. They checked on us periodically to let us know where we stood in line and talked so kindly to both of us. Best urgent care experience by far. I have 2 suggestions - 1. Since it’s a pedi focused urgent care it would be lovely to have bright and colorful decor surrounding us while we waited. The walls were completely bare and beige. Something simple like color and bright pictures but can really change a mood. 2. Instead of offering a sucker at the end (with the stickers - thank you) offer brave little boys and girls a toy. I understand the reason to reward them but if their immune system is already compromised it’s not a good idea to introduce high fructose corn syrup, sugar and dyes into their system that’s already fighting. A silly cheap toy would be just as rewarding without being detrimental. The stickers were great though and definitely made her smile!! Overall- really positive experience!!

Someone close to us tested positive for COVID-19. This is hugely disruptive, and threatened to jeopardize important work activities. We needed to get tests scheduled ASAP, and the process to schedule our tests at Urgent Care for Kids was straightforward and easy. The covid-19 test process is inherently unpleasant, but the nurse that came and administered the test to me, my wife, and our 2.5 year old did an excellent job of communicating ahead of time, preparing us for the experience, and administering thr test. I'm not saying I want to get tested again, but if I ever have to be, I'm coming back here!

- Verified patient on 8/9

Waited a bit after being admitted but there were obvious more urgent patients that needed immediate cate. Staff was friendly and thorough; made an effort to make sure I understood what was happening and next steps for my busted big toe. Showed me how to wrap it up properly and gave some guidance on activity levels and healing time. Sent xrays and a report (unlike other urgent cares) home with me for follow up care needs. The nurse was great! Kept the mood light despite my pain level and frustration with having to be there in the first place. He was able to make much needed candid conversation in the stressful situation and took the time to show his true care for my wellbeing. Incredibly refreshing for an urgent care clinic. The kind lady at check in also took the time to explain that PrimaCare also works with VA benefits - being a future mil spouse this is new knowledge and I am forever grateful for her explaining how and what plans they work with. Having to go to an urgent care isn’t a great experience to begin with, but this is the best urgent care experience I’ve had in years!

I don’t often write reviews but I felt it necessary in this case! I have never been to an urgent care facility as awesome as this one! The wait time was short (although we booked an appointment) the staff was super friendly and amazing, and the level of care exceeded my expectations! The doctor went above and beyond for my child! I was shocked that an urgent care took the time to actually care! I have already recommended this facility to friends! I was just blown away! Keep up the great work guys!

Hello, this was my first visit to Fast Aid. My experience was that everything was top notch, other than one minor glitch The the x-ray report was given to me on a dvd-r. My laptop is able to read disks, however it wasn't able to read this one. So I wasn't able to follow up with my PCP later that afternoon. Even if I was able to read the disk it is an older technology that isn't used nearly as much as it used to. It seems like they might want to look into better ways to share information. But it was really no big deal and didn't taint an otherwise pleasant visit. This isn't me complaining, merely providing constructive feedback. Again I will say that overall I was pleased with the services provided. Anyway I am hoping the good service continues, so I know I'll have a place to go for urgent care. To me this was so much easier and faster than trying to get in to see my PCP. It wasn't an emergency so it didn't make sense to me to go to an ER. Fast Aid seems to me to be this go between. It's a great idea. Sort of like the difference between going to the Walgreen's around the corner instead of having to drive all the way across town to go to the grocery store, just to get one or two items real quick. This location is super convenient for me too. Glad they're in town now. Thanks!

Overall, a series of appointments during my Covid-19 diagnosis/recovery was made to be a very pleasant experience with Solv and Urgent Care for Kids Round Rock.

We had to wait almost an hour to be seen and there seemed to be some employee dinner which I understand needs to happen but for an urgent care center I feel there should be some one to cover patients during breaks at least could be taking our vitals seeing what brought us there for.

I went in with a dog bite to my hand. It was a deep puncture. I was in so much pain. They cleaned my hand ,took X-rays and put a splint on it. I had a Tetanus shot as well. They were so compassionate, kind and thorough. My appointment was at 5:45 and I was on my way home by 7 pm. I did not wait at all to see the medical staff. I was prescribed antibiotics and Motrin and this morning, I woke pain free. I am so grateful to the entire wonderful staff. I just cannot day enough good things about this place. I recommend it highly. This is where I’ll be coming from now on. I had called several other places before this and the other places wanted me to report my dog , they told me I’d have an extremely long wait and then my husband called Southwest Urgent Care. What a wonderful difference! I felt at ease immediately and they took such good care of me. I am beyond satisfied with their service. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, yet friendly, kind and patient . One of the best experiences I have ever had at a clinic. I may be gushing, but they certainly deserve accolades!! Thank you so much from a very satisfied and happy patient.

The wait time was short and they accepted my insurance. I found out that you can also set an appointment online through Solv in advance. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The building is decorated really cute and is very clean. I saw Dr. Jagannath she is wonderful. It’s my second time seeing her and I have to say she cares about her patients and takes her time to talk to you. She gave me exactly what I needed to get better and answered all my questions. This is the best urgent care near me. Every time I can’t get a doctor’s appointment and I don’t feel good that’s the best place to go to. They are always full because they are professional and efficient. It’s worth the wait time because your health issues get solved at any time of the day even on the weekends. The nurses are always very sweet and the front desk ladies are fast, and very professional. Thank you very much NextCare UC Staff you are a blessing to us.

I reported to the front desk and told them I had an appointment to be tested at 7 pm. I was told to wait outside and I would receive a text when they were ready to see me. On the website I saw where I could fill out some paperwork which I did. The front desk came out to get me and asked for my paperwork. I told them that I had filled it out on line. The young lady said”ok, we’ll just need some initials.” I was led to a room where I was given copies of the paperwork I had already filled out on line with “x”s for my initials. I went ahead and initialed each “x”. The nurse came in, took the paperwork from me and told me, “But you didn’t fill out the rest of the information.” By this time I was more than frustrated with the whole situation and the nurse sensed it. She offered to finish filling out the paperwork. I would like to mention that this was none of her doing. The rest of my experience was actually very good. This is the second time we use this urgent care clinic and will probably use it in the future. Just need more attention at the front desk.

Everyone was super nice when I went in for my 1st round of my covid vaccine. They made sure after I was injected, that I was ok till the preferred time of any allergic reactions. Not only 1 but 3 different nurses checked on me! I would highly recommend Urgent care for kids. Mindy the nurse was awsome @ the Round Rock location!

Always love coming to Aggieland for our family tailgate. Unfortunately, I tripped and fell face first on the rocks. We immediately loaded up and headed to the Urgent Care. We walked in and we’re immediately greeted and given paperwork that was made to be quick and simple. The nurse was waiting for me to sign and took me back immediately. PA Taylor came in and took a look and agreed stitches were going to be needed. He ensured that everything was appropriately numb and throughly cleaned my wound. He was concerned with getting stuff all over me when he started cleaning. He took great care to block my face so he could irrigate the wound well. He did a fantastic job with the sutures and I was up and outta there in no time. This team was awesome and ensured that I was taken care of and back at my tailgate in less than an hour and half. Can’t beat that! Thank you to the team for taking great care of me.

I waited for 6 hours at Texas childrens urgent care with my toddler who had 104.2 fever so I decided to try here. Got in very quick even when they was busy and very nice. The only problem which was very stressful is that I had my husband and me with our sick 2 year old and 5 month old. They told me 1 parent per room but I couldn’t handle both babies by myself so they split us up. My 2 year old was screaming for me but COVID protocol they couldn’t put us together. It was stressful not being in the same room together and having to hold my baby down so the doctor can check him. The doctor didn’t understand why they didn’t put us together as well. I made it clear to every nurse and staff I saw that I had both kids there and had to run back and forth to try to help my husband and my baby. They was really nice and professional but it made it a hassle and Texas childrens didn’t have a problem with us being in the same room. Just didn’t want to wait for 6 hours to be seen.

Dr. Marco Vela excellent dr great sense if humor. I saw him fir the 1st time at Urgent care ❤ he took care if me and my pain in mt ears with antibiotics and a wonderful shot for pain. Urgent Care is a place I now choose fire my medical needs. The girls out front are sweet and get their job done! Harris is not only professional, but caring and understanding with her patients. She is knowledgeable and has helped me n family when we seek medical attention. I went to the facility on Monday, November 23. They were busy and Harris was not in that day. There was a male NP attending patients. I did not get his name. Well I really didn’t think I got the medical attention I was looking for. He was rushing, I am post Covid so my voice is not normal, I shake and my oxygen levels drop when I do things. He looked frustrated. I wasn’t even given chance to tell him what all was wrong with me. He did take chest X-ray. Then proceeded in sending me to the ER, where I waited 3.5 hours while people with Covid and lord knows what where walking in and some had no mask. So I walked out, did not want to go through that illness again. I just felt like he didn’t want to deal with me so passed me on. I know my lungs are weak and need oxygen at home... I was in tuba Ted 15 days in icu and spent time in rehabilitation hospital to walk and talk again! Why not just get me some oxygen to go home ? Anyway, Now I’ll be suffering until After Thanksgiving! I’ve always told my staff.. off you do not love what you do, then go find it!

My son has autism and usually struggles with urgent care visits. This office made the effort to connect with him from the office secretary, RN and provider. When he was becoming a little agitated, the secretary took us on a tour to look at all the animal paintings in the clinic. This small gesture of kindness was deeply appreciated.

My experience for the curbside COVID test was great. I was panicking because my options ( CVS, walgreens, home test) were not available. But Urgent Care for Kids was great. We had a tele-visit before hand (which i did not want to do) was great- the doctor was so nice. Fast and easy test.

I have 2 toddlers go to the daycare and when 1 get sick then the other one will be next. That’s why my kids are their regular patients as they get sick all time. I usually booked the appointment but then one time I was told “first come first serve, appointment was just for the paperwork”. Ok fine, next time I walked in with no appointment and was told “no walk in accepted, appointment only”. I was so confused as what to do because the management kept on changing their mind. My kid was sick I couldnt wait until tomorrow so I left to another urgent care that day. Tonight, I made an appointment, as I walked in the receptionist already knew by confirmed the name. She was quickly get us a room. The nurses were very thorough and professional. When the dr walked in; I was so happy and felt so lucky when I saw that was Dr Jeannie Huynh. She is the reason why I came back to this place after many issues we had. She always explained the cause and then the treatment so clearly. She always gave the correct diagnosis. I wish they have her as a regular dr at this location.

About Urgent Care

Urgent care is Round Rock's best option for quality medical care when you need it, offering walk-in appointments during extended hours and on weekends. Solv even has clinic partners in the Round Rock-area that offer online scheduling, allowing you to book a visit convenient to your schedule and skip the wait.

Walk-in clinics provide a convenient, fast alternative to emergency rooms—even primary care providers—treating minor injuries and illnesses including strep throat, infections, cold and flu symptoms, allergies, rashes, burns, bites, and more. Additionally, most offer preventative care including annual well exams, lab testing, and vaccinations.

When you’re in need of medical care for a non-life threatening condition, trust the urgent care providers nearby. And whenever possible, make it easier by scheduling and managing your visit with Solv.

Urgent Care Guide

In a recent survey conducted with the Urgent Care Association, Solv found that patients were waiting an average of 24 days for appointments with their primary care provider. In a world of instant gratification, consumers demand more. They demand now. If you want to watch a movie, you download it in minutes or stream it instantly. If you need groceries, you can pick up your phone and have them delivered to you within the hour. If you need restaurant reservations, you find one with availability, book online, walk in minutes later and sit right down. Healthcare shouldn’t be any different.

That’s why urgent care has been growing at a faster pace than any other healthcare service in the United States. And it is why healthcare consumers search for “urgent care” more than 5x more than “primary care” or “family doctor,” combined. These consumers are highly actionable, searching with high intent terms like “urgent care near me.” They want same day access to quality healthcare providers when they are sick or injured - after hours, one weekends and on holidays - without the cost and inconvenience of the emergency room.

Urgent care centers typically treat minor illnesses like the flu, sinus infections and strep throat, as well as injuries like bone fractures and sprains, cuts, scrapes and burns, making these clinics ideal for diagnosing and treating non-emergent healthcare needs. And at a growing rate urgent care clinics are offering preventative care services including annual physicals and well visits, flu shots and other immunizations and vaccines, taking on the role of primary care provider for the tens of millions of consumers that don’t have one.

For kids there are special pediatric urgent care centers, usually open after hours for patients between the ages of 1 and 18.

Urgent Care Services & Pricing

Urgent care centers, which are part of the walk-in clinic healthcare category, are a convenient resource for consumers needing treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Services that you would normally receive at your primary care office are usually available at an urgent care including annual and school physicals, flu shots and immunizations, treatment for illnesses including colds, flu stomach pains, sinus and ear infections and more. You can also be seen for injuries such as burns, bites, sprains and breaks - things that you might first thing to go to the emergency room vs urgent care, but you’ll have a shorter wait and smaller bill at the urgent care. As for cost, without insurance, you should expect between $100-140 for your visit, plus the cost of any labs, tests or images. With insurance, urgent care will be similar to seeing a specialist with applicable co-pay.

Insurance & Payments

Nearly all urgent care centers take commercial insurance and many (if not most) will take medicare. As such if you have insurance coverage, you can expect the financial experience to be similar to visiting a specialist where you have a co-pay, usually $35-50, due at the time of the visit. Any additional lab work, x-rays or other tests performed will be billed against your insurance first and any supplemental balance due will be invoiced to you after the fact. Without insurance, you’ll pay a visit fee between $100-140 at the time of your visit. This is typically 25-50% more than your primary care provider, but usually the convenience is well worth the additional cost. If you are interested in a telehealth or video visit, your cost could be as much as 50% less than an urgent care, you could be diagnosed and prescribed medication and you’ll never have to leave your home.

Urgent Care Hours & Wait Times

Every urgent care center - even those part of the same group or brand - may have different hours. While they are meant to be conveniently accessible during times when your primary care provider is not, that’s subjective and highly variable. A traditional formula, however, is that an urgent care is open 6 to 7 days a week usually between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm. That could shift to nearly any 8-12 hour period between 7 am and 10 pm. You’ll even find some clinics open 24 hours a day, similar to an emergency room. As for wait time, most patients report waiting between 15-45 minutes on average, but that can certainly vary, as well. It’s usually best to find an urgent care near you to either confirm the hours online, or call the clinic directly to verify. Or, you can book a same day doctor appointment online with Solv.
