Urgent care
I had an appointment and arrived early. It was a really long wait with one person in front of me. Staff was awesome though. I didn't really feel that I had to be seen by so many different staff members and technicians (4) just for lab work. Never got a call back on rapid results.

New to area (just moved here) my son drove me to your facility as closer than St David after a surprise visit to my apt. He knew I was not feeling well. I was treated right away. Dx w L LL Pnemonia and script for 2 antibiotics. Treated by a Nurse Practitioner!!!😍I was very pleased as I am a retired Hospital RN and have twin identical BSN nurses! One at MD Anderson -Houston and works as ER nurse in Des Plaines Illinois. .

Pediatric urgent care
I scheduled and appt for 8pm. The text I received said to check in by 745 which I did. When I walked in there were 3 other families in the waiting area. No one at the front desk to greet you, just check in on the iPad. I then received a text that said you can check your place in line there were 3 other families listed and it stated 2(1 of which was mine) had an appt and the other 2 were walk ins. I watched 1 appt and 1 walk in go ahead before me and another family left so we got called back around 8:06 because the other family walked out. We were told 4 other families were ahead of us. I asked what the point in making an appt is if that was the case. I knew all the families before us didn’t have appts. At least 2 of them. So, we waited. The lady came in and did vitals and brought us back some ibuprofen. Just handed me the syringe and said to give it to her. Not once did she try to help when she seen I was struggling to give it because my daughter was screaming and kicking she just kept trying to give her a popsicle which wasn’t helping the situation. Before I even finished giving the meds she walked out and said the doctor will be with us shortly. We waited an hour and 15 minutes before I went out to check what the hold up was and they told me she was in the room and I was next. Ok, yeah. So we waited and the doctor walked in at 9:36. She was great but the whole process of how they take the patients back needs to be reassessed. I believe the patients who make appts should be called back before the walk ins because what’s the point in making one when they just take you back by the order you signed in as. Maybe having more than one doctor on site when it’s the busy sick season would be good too. We got out of there going on 10pm and I had to run home check on my newborn who I needed to feed and then go back out again and grab the meds at the 24 hour pharmacy!!

This is a great place to walk into when you are feeling awful! The medical team was understanding, kind, professional and knew what they were doing. I walked out knowing what was wrong with me and my medications were ready at the pharmacy as soon as I arrived. This was the smoothest, least stressful urgent care appointment I have experienced. I’m also from out of state. The woman at the front desk processed my insurance immediately. Most importantly, the medical assistant was very thorough and so nice and the doctor was very knowledgeable and calming. All in all a great experience when you’re feeling horrible! If I lived here, I would even consider having them as my regular ‘go to’ physician!

Urgent care
I was feeling awful. The receptionist was my first encounter.. Absolutely proficient and caring. The Nurse was my next encounter, she was outstanding!! Ensured I was comfortable and provided water as I was coughing so much. The provider actually carefully listened to what i said. Not just in a hurry and brushing me off. She took the time to explain test results and plan of care going forward.. This was my second visit here.. Love it!

Urgent care in Georgetown, TX

Urgent care in Georgetown, TX serves a Williamson County community north of Austin with one of the fastest-growing retirement populations in Texas, anchored by Sun City Georgetown. Walk-in clinics here see a high volume of older-adult acute care, with urgent care in Austin 30 miles south for specialty referrals.

What services do urgent care clinics in georgetown offer?

Georgetown's urgent care landscape is anchored by Baylor Scott & White and Ascension Seton, both of which operate walk-in clinics along I-35, SH 29, and the Williams Drive corridor.2 Services include acute illness care, on-site x-ray and lab, sprains and lacerations, sports physicals for Georgetown ISD and Liberty Hill ISD athletes, chronic disease support, and Medicare-aligned care for the city's older population. Several clinics offer in-clinic IV hydration, which is in high demand during the Sun City demographic's spring and summer heat-related visits. Solv profiles show wait times and language capabilities.

Does urgent care in georgetown accept STAR (texas medicaid)?

Yes. STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas HHS, is accepted at most Georgetown urgent care clinics, alongside Medicare for the city's older population.1 KFF data shows Williamson County skews lower for Medicaid enrollment but higher for Medicare given the retirement community presence.3 Primary STAR MCOs include Amerigroup, Superior HealthPlan, and Texas Children's Health Plan. Confirm coverage and copay before your visit.

How does georgetown urgent care relate to austin?

Georgetown sits about 30 miles north of downtown Austin and is the Williamson County seat. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the population is approximately 86,000 — one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States as Austin's growth pushes northward up I-35.4 The city is best known for its limestone-faced downtown square and Sun City Texas, one of the largest active-adult communities in the state. The local economy mixes education (Southwestern University), Williamson County government, and a fast-growing tech and corporate services sector. Specialty referrals typically flow south into urgent care in Austin or to Baylor Scott & White's Round Rock and Temple hospitals.

  • Does urgent care in Georgetown accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics in Georgetown accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas HHS.1 Coverage details vary by clinic and by managed care organization (such as Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan), so confirm acceptance and any required copay before your visit using the Solv profile or by calling the clinic directly.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Georgetown accept?

  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Georgetown?

For non-life-threatening conditions — fevers, sprains, minor cuts, ear infections, flu, mild asthma flare-ups, UTIs — urgent care in Georgetown is typically faster and far less expensive than St. David's Georgetown Hospital ER. A typical urgent care visit costs $100–$200 with insurance, compared with $1,200+ for an ER visit. Go to the ER instead for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, head injury with loss of consciousness, difficulty breathing, severe burns, or any condition you suspect may be life-threatening.
  • Are Georgetown urgent care clinics equipped for older adult care?

Yes. Given Sun City Georgetown's large 55+ population, many local urgent care clinics handle common older-adult presentations — UTIs, falls without major trauma, chronic-condition flare-ups, dehydration, and medication-related issues — and accept Medicare alongside commercial plans and STAR.
