Urgent care
They got me in right at 8:20 because I called a little bit before then and they were like yes come now and we’re very very fast efficient and had all the facts information and ran all the tests now waiting on results, but the staff was all very efficient and caring, and the nurse practitioner or doctor was super informative about what was going on and her opinion on all of it as well as including all the medical facts and things I need to watch out for and make sure I had everything I needed to go home with until we get the results. Got rx for infection the next morning; doctor sent it in right away. Very thankful for them staying and taking me in as the last patient and helping me figure out what’s going on.

Urgent care in Meadows Place, TX

Meadows Place is a small Fort Bend County inner suburb adjacent to Sugar Land and Stafford along US-59, with urgent care anchored by the dense Sugar Land clinic market. Book a walk-in slot near you or in urgent care in Houston in under a minute.

What services do urgent care clinics in Meadows Place offer?

Meadows Place residents typically use urgent care clinics in adjacent Sugar Land and Stafford for routine acute care — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, allergic reactions — plus DOT and sports physicals and on-site labs and X-ray. Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, Houston Methodist Sugar Land, and Baylor St. Luke's all operate hospital and urgent care facilities nearby, alongside the typical CareNow, Next Level, and independent clinic operators.2

Does urgent care in Meadows Place accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most Meadows Place-area urgent care clinics accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Texas has not expanded Medicaid, so eligibility is largely limited to children, pregnant women, and very low-income families — KFF tracks Texas as the state with the highest uninsured rate in the U.S.3 The Sugar Land corridor has dense urgent care supply with most STAR plans accepted somewhere; confirm at booking.

How does Meadows Place urgent care relate to Houston?

Meadows Place has roughly 4,711 residents and is one of the smaller incorporated cities in Fort Bend County, almost entirely residential and tucked between Sugar Land, Stafford, and Houston city limits.4 The city sits about 18 miles southwest of downtown Houston along US-59, with most residents commuting into the broader urgent care in Houston job market and using the Sugar Land healthcare cluster for routine care.

Urgent Care FAQs

  • Are there urgent care clinics in Meadows Place?

Yes. Meadows Place, TX has walk-in urgent care available either directly in town or within a short drive in adjacent communities. Most clinics offer same-day visits for common illnesses and minor injuries, with on-site labs and X-ray where needed. Use Solv to see real-time availability and book a slot before you walk in.
  • Does urgent care in Meadows Place accept STAR (Texas Medicaid)?

Most urgent care clinics serving the Meadows Place area accept STAR, the Texas Medicaid managed care program administered by Texas Health and Human Services. STAR is delivered through several managed care organizations (Amerigroup, Molina, Superior, United, etc.), so confirm with the specific clinic which MCOs they contract with before booking. Texas has not expanded Medicaid under the ACA, so working-age adults outside the standard STAR eligibility criteria typically do not qualify.
  • What insurance do urgent care centers in Meadows Place accept?

Most Meadows Place-area urgent care clinics accept commercial insurance plans (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana), Medicare, and TRICARE for active-duty military and veterans. Many also accept STAR (Texas Medicaid). Cash-pay and self-pay options are widely available — average urgent care visit costs run $100-$250 depending on services. Confirm your specific plan and copay with the clinic before booking.
  • Should I go to urgent care or the ER in Meadows Place?

Urgent care handles non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations needing stitches, minor burns, ear infections, mild asthma flares — usually for a fraction of an ER bill and with shorter waits. Go to the ER (or call 911) for chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe trauma, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion, or any condition that feels life-threatening. The nearest hospital ER for Meadows Place residents is Memorial Hermann Sugar Land.
  • Where do Meadows Place residents typically go for after-hours urgent care?

After-hours options include the dense network of late-night and 24-hour freestanding ERs and urgent care clinics along US-59 in Sugar Land and Stafford, plus 24-hour hospital ERs at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land and Houston Methodist Sugar Land. Virtual urgent care visits handle most respiratory and minor concerns and are bookable online.
