I had an appointment at 9 a.m. and was taken in at 9:05 and had my vitals taken. After that, the NP didn't come in until 9:50. I was given my results and that interaction took about 5 minutes. I had previously received a call regarding my results, but was unavailable when they called. I called back multiple times and left 2 messages, but my calls were not returned. It seems like this appointment wouldn't have been necessary if they returned my call, and informed me that my future care would be at a different practice. It also would have felt better if someone just communicated with me during the appointment that they were running behind and it would be 40 minutes before the NP could see me. My appointment today confirmed that my injury was more severe than I was told. I was told weeks ago that there were no indicators that I had a torn ligament, but I was finally approved for an MRI a few days ago, and the results showed a torn ligament. They told me it was just a contusion on multiple occasions, and that there was no sprain or torn ligament. I went every week and expressed my pain, and how continuing to exert myself physically at work caused more pain, but I do not feel like I was heard or taken seriously. I understand worker's comp is complicated, but it feels very frustrating.

AFC Urgent Care, Southpoint - 6400 Fayetteville Rd
Came in to the urgent care with an online appointment scheduled. I have been here several times. I have insurance, which was verified by the office, but the front desk girl said I was required to have a credit card on file but couldn’t tell me why. She did say it would be on file in your system for FIVE years. Not only does that seem to be a crazy ask with verified insurance, she could explain why the card was needed or why it would be on file for years. Makes me question things for sure…. The provider was great but first impression needs improvement.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should get tested for hepatitis. This includes people who have shared needles or other drug paraphernalia, had unprotected sex, or have been in close contact with an infected person. Additionally, those who have traveled to countries with high rates of hepatitis, have a liver disease, or are pregnant should also consider getting tested.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial for early detection and treatment. Hepatitis, if left untreated, can lead to severe liver damage, liver cancer, and even death. Moreover, individuals infected with hepatitis can unknowingly transmit the virus to others. Therefore, getting tested not only protects your health but also prevents the spread of the virus in the community.

Hepatitis testing options in Clayton, NC:

Prevalence of hepatitis in Clayton

The number of hepatitis cases in Clayton has been steadily increasing over the past few years, indicating a growing public health concern.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Clayton

Risk factors for hepatitis in Clayton include unprotected sex, sharing of needles, and close contact with an infected person. Additionally, travel to countries with high rates of hepatitis and having a pre-existing liver disease increase the risk of contracting the virus.

Other common STDs in Clayton include gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis. The rates of these STDs are similar to those of hepatitis, with gonorrhea and chlamydia being the most common. Like hepatitis, the number of these STDs has been increasing over the past few years.
