This is my first visit to this excellent health care facility. Dr. Safran was amazing-caring, knowledgeable and was really concerned about how I was feeling! He puts the patient at ease with his calm manner. His assistant was also most caring and the office staff is so helpful too. I recommend this health care facility with more than 5 stars if I could!

Will not write about my experience other than the fact that the receptionist  young lady that checked me in and took my vitals was excellent. Do not want to share what followed.

Urgent care in Chester, NY

Chester is an Orange County village and town along Route 17 / I-86 in the Black Dirt agricultural region, with walk-in care served by clinics along Brookside Avenue and Kings Highway. Book a same-day visit nearby or in urgent care in New York City in under a minute.

What services do urgent care clinics in Chester offer?

Chester-area clinics — anchored by Garnet Health Medical Center (Middletown) and Bon Secours / WMCHealth (Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Suffern, St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick) — handle flu, strep, UTIs, sprains, lacerations, ear infections, and on-site labs, X-ray, and pediatric urgent care.2 Orange Regional Medical Center is the dominant local tertiary anchor and a Level III trauma center.

Does urgent care in Chester accept New York Medicaid?

Most Chester-area urgent care clinics accept New York Medicaid, administered by the NY Department of Health.1 New York expanded Medicaid under the ACA and runs the Essential Plan for near-Medicaid incomes, giving the state one of the lowest uninsured rates per KFF.3 Orange County's mix of agricultural workforce and commuters makes Medicaid utilization meaningful — major managed care plans are widely accepted.

Chester village has roughly 3,900 residents, with the town of Chester at about 11,000.4 The village sits about 50 miles northwest of Manhattan via Route 17 / I-86 — close enough for daily commuting but more closely defined by its Orange County identity than by NYC.
