Thank you to the provider and the MA upfront who helped us today, they were very friendly and compassionate. I’m sorry I didn’t get your names, but there was another young lady up front who wouldn’t even acknowledge me and seemed to be upset because we did come in 1 hour before closing, I can understand how it could be frustrating but I also work at a urgent care and I would never be rude or simply not acknowledge a patient coming in wanting care for their child.  luckily the other MA upfront also noticed she wouldn’t acknowledge me and made sure she heard me which she did she just seemed upset or is having a bad day and choose to purposely ignore me. Besides that it was quick and easy to schedule and get in to be seen  Thank you

Urgent care in Benbrook, TX

Benbrook is a southwest Fort Worth suburb on Lake Benbrook, with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth serving as the central hospital. Most urgent care capacity is in southwest Fort Worth along the I-20 and US-377 corridors. Compare local options or extend to the broader urgent care in Dallas network.

What services do urgent care clinics in Benbrook offer?

Urgent care clinics in Benbrook, TX treat respiratory illness, lacerations, sports physicals, sprains and lake-related injuries during peak season, and routine pediatric care. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and USMD Hospital at Fort Worth anchor the closest hospital networks, with CareNow and several independent clinics along US-377 and I-20.2

Most Benbrook-area urgent care clinics are open seven days a week, with extended weekday and weekend hours, on-site digital X-ray, basic in-house labs (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, urinalysis), and standard suturing capability. Cash-pay rates and copays should be confirmed at booking; many clinics post transparent self-pay pricing online. Booking through Solv lets you compare clinic distance, real-time wait, and reviews before you commit, which often saves time during peak respiratory season (October–February) and back-to-school physical season (July–August).

Does urgent care in Benbrook accept Texas STAR Medicaid?

Yes. Benbrook urgent care clinics accept Texas STAR Medicaid managed-care plans, administered by Texas Health and Human Services.1 Verify in-network status with your MCO before booking. KFF reports Tarrant County tracks near the Texas state Medicaid coverage average.3

In addition to STAR, Texas runs CHIP (children's coverage), STAR+PLUS (Medicaid + Medicare for adults with disabilities), STAR Kids (Medicaid for children with disabilities), and STAR Health (foster care). Coverage rules differ across programs — patients should bring their MCO ID card, a state-issued photo ID, and any referral paperwork to a Benbrook urgent care visit. If you're unsure whether a clinic accepts your specific Medicaid plan, call the clinic before booking or use Solv's in-network filter to narrow the list.

How does Benbrook urgent care relate to Dallas?

Benbrook sits about 30 miles west of downtown Dallas and 8 miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth, anchored by Lake Benbrook, the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth at Carswell, and a workforce that skews toward Fort Worth's aerospace and services economy. With an estimated 25,200 residents per U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts,4 the city is primarily Fort Worth-oriented but most residents work or specialize in care across the broader DFW market — see urgent care in Dallas for the wider network.

For most non-life-threatening problems, an urgent care visit is faster and considerably less expensive than the ER. KFF research consistently shows the average emergency department visit costs several times what a comparable urgent care visit costs, even before insurance.3 Patients in Benbrook who can't get into a local urgent care clinic often have shorter waits at clinics in adjacent suburbs, and most major hospital networks — including Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth — share medical records across affiliated locations, so visiting a sister clinic generally doesn't fragment your care.

Common reasons Benbrook residents book urgent care include sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, sprains and minor fractures, lacerations, low-grade fevers, mild allergic reactions, rashes, eye irritation, and routine school or sports physicals. For chest pain, stroke symptoms (sudden weakness, slurred speech, vision loss), severe abdominal pain, head injury with confusion or loss of consciousness, major bleeding, severe burns, or any breathing difficulty, the ER — including Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth — is the right choice. Telehealth is another option for clear-cut viral illnesses or prescription refills, and many Benbrook-area urgent care brands offer same-day virtual visits in addition to in-person care.
