This was a nice quick visit. After leaving though, I wish and wonder why a flu test wasn’t offered when the rapid covid was negative or at the same time. Trying to figure out what’s wrong with my daughter and it could just as easily be the flu. Wish I would have thought about it but really think it’d of been standard to check for flu as well.

Lab Tests FAQs

  • Where should I get a lab test in Little Rock?

Doctors commonly order lab tests and can refer you to one or more reputable lab test centers in your area. Lab tests can be performed in Little Rock urgent care centers, hospitals, and walk-in clinics that specialize in lab testing. Your healthcare practitioner can supply you with a list of lab test providers, or you can use Solv to see what's available in your area.

  • How much do lab tests cost?

The cost of a lab test is determined by several factors, including the type of test, your location, whether you have insurance, and the fees charged by the lab test provider. Many health insurance providers will cover the cost of lab testing in part or in full. Those who do not have insurance, on the other hand, will almost certainly face higher costs. Contact lab test providers directly to confirm the cost of your lab test based on your health insurance benefits. • Does insurance cover lab testing?

Many health insurance plans will cover lab tests that your doctor determines are medically necessary for your illness. The easiest way to find out if your health plan covers lab testing is to contact your insurance carrier directly or ask the lab test provider to check your insurance benefits and verify price. Many health insurance plans will cover lab tests that your doctor determines are medically necessary for your illness. • How long does it take to get lab test results in Little Rock?

Lab test results may be available in minutes, hours, days, or weeks, depending on the type of test performed, lab staff productivity, and your doctor's availability. Some lab test providers let you see your results as soon as they're available online, while others need you to wait for your doctor's answer. Your doctor or the lab provider can give you a more accurate estimate of when your lab test results will arrive.

  • What is a routine lab test?

A basic lab test may evaluate your red and white blood cell counts to discover if you have anemia, a blood infection, or blood cancer. It may also test fat levels in your blood to determine your risk of heart disease and examine the health of your organs, such as your heart, kidneys, and liver. Your healthcare provider will be able to explain what a typical lab test entails.

  • What STDs can be detected by a blood test?

A blood test can identify STDs such as syphilis, HIV, hepatitis C, and herpes. Your doctor may order that blood be collected and submitted to a lab, or that you undergo STD testing at a lab test provider. STD test results might arrive in minutes, days, or weeks, depending on the lab test company you work with.

  • Do I need to see a doctor before getting a lab test?

Before performing specific tests, some lab test providers require a doctor's referral, while others do not. The benefit of seeing a doctor before getting a lab test is that you can assess whether or not you need one based on your symptoms and a physical examination. A doctor can also help you decide which tests are necessary.

  • How can I book a lab test on Solv?

On our home page, please specify the type of lab service you desire, as well as your location and state. Solv will give you with a list of lab test providers in your area, as well as their contact information, so you can make an appointment right immediately.

  • How long does getting a lab test take?

The majority of lab tests are completed in a matter of minutes, but certain providers may have extensive wait times that require you to spend up to an hour in the lab. To limit the amount of time you spend waiting for your lab test, schedule an appointment with Solv ahead of time.

  • Should I try at-home lab testing?

Privacy, convenience, and accuracy are all advantages of at-home lab testing. Some at-home lab testing services, however, may not be covered by your health insurance plan. Some healthcare practitioners may seek additional lab tests to corroborate their diagnosis of specific health concerns. Consult your doctor to see if at-home lab testing is appropriate for you, given your unique health situation.Privacy, convenience, and accuracy are all advantages of at-home lab testing. Doctor was very kind and helpful. One of the least painful Covid tests I’ve received. Very gentle.

- Verified patient on 9/15

Very good, but went in for a Covid test. Do not think I should have been allowed in clinic around others. Really feel as if they should have come to my car to test me

- Verified patient on 7/11

I went there only to get a Covid test so I could be cleared for a surgery at a hospital in Little Rock on Friday this is Monday I’ll get there at 10:30 go and get all my paperwork done go back to my vehicle from *** till *** I said there go in at 11:50 answer a few questions I’m taking back nice little nurse gave me a Covid test and it’s practically 12 o’clock I am the only one in the back when I go in there three rooms before mine no one is in them I’m in room number four I’ll go in there for approximately 30 minutes after my Covid test and The nurse practitioner never comes in I’ll go out to ask how much longer it’s going to be and she is still at the computer sitting at the same place as she was when I went in there and tells me that there’s other people also so I wasn’t very happy with her sitting on that for 30 minutes while I was sitting in the room waiting to be seen will not go back there

- Verified patient on 9/20

We came in for Covid test to travel and the ENTIRE staff was extremely helpful and very nice! I did not realize that a medical experience could be this good! Not that I want to get sick anytime soon but would come back here or recommend this olace to anyone!!!!

- Verified patient on 11/20

Why is there no mention of the PCR and antigen tests that were done. Facility was extremely cold due to air sanitizers/air conditioner running full blast in each room

- Verified patient on 8/2

This was my first visit. Clean facility, friendly staff, very knowledgeable APRN. Suggested an allergist for an issue I’ve been dealing with for 2 1/2 years. I’ve had every lab test known conducted, seen 5 Drs. In the last year, but no one suggested this could be an allergy. I was in & out less than an hour. Impressive!!!

- Verified patient on 10/14

Needed a COVID test. Excellent staff. Super smooth and easy. A+

- Verified patient on 8/6

Very timely getting since I arrived there early for my appt and I was actually out before my hold my spot time. . My doctor was very patient with all my questions concerning the covid diagnosis. Staff were all very friendly also. I have been to other places in the past to get covid test but I will drive across the river to go here!

I will start off by saying I have used this urgent care a few times and have been extremely happy with the care we have received. However, this one is a different story. I made an appointment due to high fevers, body aches, and chest discomfort of 5 days. The sweet LPN who took care of me listened to my concerns. She decided to swab me for the flu. As she was taking my swab to get tested the APN opened the door to our room. She was speaking to the LPN she said “did you get a PCR on her, this is probably COVID, not the flu”. I had explained to the APN that I had just tested negative for COVID two days ago, that I really did not think that’s what this was. She got a rapid COVID test which was negative. She then said she would send it off for PCR and that it would probably be positive and that’s what we were dealing with. I asked her for a chest X-ray. She stated “your lungs sound fine”. She offered to draw blood work, I agreed. She sent us on our way telling us it was most likely COVID and that we would get the results tomorrow. My husband left from the urgent care and brought me to the ED where I am admitted for double pneumonia and having a sepsis work up. I’m glad I advocated for myself and didn’t settle for a COVID diagnosis. If I would of waited too much longer I’m scared about how much worse it would of gotten. I think it’s always wise to listen to your patients and not jump to one conclusion so fast ( and yes I have been fully vaccinated for COVID as well). But I am thankful for the sweet LPN who seemed as she was concerned!

- Verified patient on 11/27

Didn’t have to wait very long to get back to a room to get treatment. I was directed by a lady over the phone to come in and go straight to room #6. I mean you would think they could at least show you to the room. When the nurse came in to get my vitals she was super rude and had no bed side manner. She never even spoke to me until after I asked her what my BP was. Even then she acted like she had rather not speak to me. When she came in she didn’t even have a mask or gloves on either. I was in there to get tested for Covid so I mean you would think that they would take better precautions for everyone than that. I definitely think this is something that needs to be addressed! Also used the restroom in the lobby which was completely disgusting! No toilet paper or paper towels and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.

- Verified patient on 11/17

Excellent! Every step of the way from booking appointment to being called in for COVID test to getting results was very efficient.

I came in with a sore throat and a lose of voice. Assuming I had COVID or strep I decided to go to Baptist Health Urgent Care on Zero Street, Fort Smith AR. The nurse who took my blood pressure and swabbed for test was very nice. Sadly I didn’t get to catch her name. Though the nurse practitioner Scott was amazing during my appointment. He was very friendly, caring and professional. Unfortunately I was confirmed positive with COVID and there isn’t much you can do with a viral infection. He was nice enough to prescribe me some medication to help with my aching sore throat. The only downsides to my visit today was the wait time but when you have so many people walking in, you’re expected to wait longer. Also, the app seems to be glitched out, after I checked in I could see the wait list and what position I’m in. The app decides to not give me the link to check on it after an hour or so past. All in all, I had a wonderful experience. A reminder to all the health workers that you’re doing an amazing job!

The whole experience was amazing. I dread doctor’s visits - between the cost and typical subpar care, I go as a last resort. Today wasn’t any different; I was not looking forward to the visit. However, everything from start to finish was great. I scheduled the appointment online. The front desk manager, Robbi, was phenomenal. Check-in was a breeze. The wait wasn’t long at all. They may have been MAYBE 10-15 mins off from my appointment time. In their defense, I was advised to show up 10 mins early, but showed up right on time. The NP, Scott (Richard) Savage was awesome! He explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease. I’m sure I was rambling but he listened and addressed all of my concerns. Oh! Can’t forget the lady that took my nose swab for the COVID test - I can’t remember her name. But, she was great as well! Overall great experience. I won’t visit any other Urgent Care clinic!

Had to wait quite awhile to see the nurse and nurse practitioner, but both were very friendly and worth the wait. Described my symptoms and was given lab test to confirm diagnosis. Very efficient and helpful staff; I will go back if I am ever faced with a weekend situation like this again.

Little Rock Lab Tests

Lab tests take samples of your blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily secretions, which are then analyzed in a lab to help doctors diagnose and treat certain illnesses. Lab tests can be used to diagnose an illness, detect changes in an existing condition, and monitor how your body responds to a therapy, among other things. They can also be used to monitor the progression of a disease or a set of diseases.

If your doctor is unable to make a definitive diagnosis of your disease, or if you are having a variety of symptoms that could indicate a variety of disorders, he or she may request a lab test. Some lab tests require no preparation at all, while others may require you to fast for eight to twelve hours before the test in order to avoid erroneous results from certain meals and beverages. Your healthcare provider may advise you to cease smoking, exercising, and taking certain medications and nutritional supplements for many hours or days before your blood test.

Before your lab test, ask your doctor for precise instructions to follow to minimize erroneous results and multiple trips to the lab for additional testing. A lab worker may use a needle to draw blood from your arm or prick your finger to collect a small sample of blood during a blood test. During a urine test, your physician will ask you to go to the restroom and urinate in a sterile cup, then set your sample on a shelf where a lab technician can pick it up and process it. The personnel at the lab testing facility will demonstrate how to do each type of test.
