From walking in the door, the girls up front registering and paying, zero wait time, MA accessing and vitals, my seats, blood, shots, and of course the dr visit was excellent. Such knowledgeable personnel and pleasant and empathetic to my situation.  Excellent care all the way around.  Excellent Dr was very thorough conservative and took extra time and care.

About Hepatitis test

Who should get tested for hepatitis?

According to the CDC, anyone who has been exposed to blood or body fluids of an infected person should be tested for hepatitis. This includes individuals who have shared needles or other drug-injection equipment, have had unprotected sex with an infected person, or have traveled to areas with high rates of hepatitis. Additionally, individuals born between 1945 and 1965, commonly known as baby boomers, are at a higher risk and should also be tested, as they may have been infected without knowing it.

Importance of getting tested

Getting tested for hepatitis is crucial because early detection can prevent serious health complications, such as liver disease and liver cancer. Furthermore, knowing your status can help prevent the spread of the disease to others. According to the CDC, many people with hepatitis do not have symptoms and do not know they are infected, which underscores the importance of regular testing.

Hepatitis testing options in Keller, TX:

Urgent care and walk-in clinics

You can book same-day and next-day appointments at these clinics through Solv’s website and mobile app.

Primary care providers

Primary care providers can also provide hepatitis testing. If you have a regular doctor, you can schedule an appointment for a test. If you do not have a primary care provider, Solv can help you find one in the Keller area.

Free STD testing and community health centers

Community health centers often offer free or low-cost hepatitis testing. It's important to check with the specific center for availability and costs.

At-home testing

At-home testing kits for hepatitis are also available. These kits allow you to take a sample at home and send it to a lab for testing. The results are then sent to you confidentially.

Prevalence of hepatitis in Keller

While specific data for Keller, TX is not readily available, Tarrant County, where Keller is located, has seen a steady increase in hepatitis cases over the past few years, according to the CDC. This trend mirrors the national increase in hepatitis cases. Comparatively, nearby counties such as Hill County and McCulloch County have lower rates of hepatitis.

Risk factors related to hepatitis in Keller

Risk factors for hepatitis in Keller are similar to those in other parts of the country. These include drug use, unprotected sex, and travel to areas with high rates of hepatitis. Additionally, individuals born between 1945 and 1965 are at a higher risk.

Other STDs in Keller

In addition to hepatitis, other STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and syphilis are also prevalent in Keller. Like hepatitis, these diseases can be asymptomatic and spread unknowingly, making regular testing crucial. You can get tested for these STDs at the same locations where hepatitis testing is available.
